Believe it or not, this year's series of The X Factor is over already, with the big finale taking place over the last two nights! As Scarlett Lee, Dalton Harris and Anthony Russell battled it out to win the crown, it was Dalton Harris who was voted the 15th winner of the popular talent show.

WINNER: DALTON HARRIS

Runner-Up: SCARLETT LEE

Third Place: ANTHONY RUSSELL

In a change from past years, this year's finalists all teamed up with a superstar for their winners' single. Dalton performed 'Power Of Love' with 2012 winner James Arthur, Scarlett worked with Leona Lewis to record a version of 'One More Sleep', whilst Anthony performed 'I Predict A Riot' with Kaiser Chiefs star Ricky Wilson.

The weekend's spectacular final also saw performances from the likes of Ellie Goulding, Tom Walker, Emeli Sandé, Chic, James Arthur and Anne-Marie, and Take That, who reunited on stage with former member Robbie Williams for an amazing performance.

After both Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne left the show, Robbie Williams, his wife Ayda Williams and One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson joined Simon Cowell on the judging panel for the 2018 series.

Despite many people having some reserves about the new line-up before it started, the four judges have been received well, with fans LOVING Louis on the show.

Meanwhile, despite this year's series receiving some of the lowest viewing figures in its history, Simon Cowell recently revealed ITV have offered the show a brand new contract for two years, thanks to their increasing 16-34 aged audience, which will take them through to 2020.

He said, "We could probably do three years or five years, it makes a lot of money. "We got to a point years ago where we were able to compete with Strictly because there was that huge audience. We’re losing people now but fortunately the young audience has actually grown this year and all the advertisers and the sponsors want that income on a Saturday."
