Louis Tomlinson’s parting words to The X Factor’s Brendan Murray will make you cry 😭

We don't know about you, but we're suffering major withdrawls now Brandan Murray and Danny Tetley are no longer in the running to be crowned The X Factor 2018 champ. Obviously we're super excited for this weekend's live final (and the AMAZING guest performances), but we just couldn't let our pal Brendan go without a chat on the heat Big Night In couch.

Joining heat Radio's Emily Segal, Made in Chelsea star Sophie Hermann and The Pussycat Dolls' Kimberly Wyatt on heat's Big Night In, Brendan revealed mentor Louis Tomlinson's touching parting words to him; and we'd be lying if we said we haven't been through a handy pack of Kleenex already.

Chatting about having Louis as his mentor, Brendan said: "It was amazing. I mean, he was literally in the house every day of the week. He'd spend four hours with each of us. Don't get me wrong, the other mentors did that too and tried to spend as much time with all their acts; but Louis even took me to the pub one night.

"We just had a chat and were talking about his days [on The X Factor]. It was amazing getting to know him a bit better, as well.

"One of the nicest things he said to me after I left the competition was 'I'm a friend for life now. Someone to lean on for advice or whatever.'"

Er, ADORABLE.
