Want to find the perfect shade of lipstick?
All lipstick has an undertone. The best way to find a shade of lipstick that's perfect for you is by being aware of the undertones in your skin. Are you warm, cool or neutral?
If you're warm-toned, choosing lipstick with a warm undertone (think peach, coral, or brown) will look best on you. If you're cool-toned, lipstick with cool undertones (like mauve, rose, and berry) will look the most flattering on you. And neutrals, you look good in just about any shade. Lucky you.
How do I find out the undertone in my skin?
To find your undertone, try on gold jewellery and silver jewellery to see which one looks the best against your skin. If gold looks best, you're probably more warm-toned. If silver is your colour, you could have a cool tone. And if both look great, you're most likely neutral.
Another way is by checking the veins in your wrists. Green veins mean you're warm-toned, blue or purple veins mean cool-toned, and a mix of both is neutral.
