How we tested our favourite Glossier products:
We've been using these Glossier products for YEARS so we've been able to bring you our honest, tried and tested reviews from members across the team.
When it comes to rating the quality of these products, we're looking for longevity (will it go the day without a top-up?), texture and scent (you want the experience to be a nice one after all) and how it works with the different skin types in our team including dry and combination. We've also shared our team's preferences - while some prefer a completely natural look, others prefer a pop of colour - so we should have something here to cater to everyone.

Tried and tested Glossier perfume
uk.glossier.com
"This is one of my favourite perfumes, as it’s not super strong or in your face. It’s really subtle and does what it says on the tin - it smells like you, what a person’s skin naturally smells like but in the best way. My boyfriend always notices when I’m wearing it and says I smell nice. It lasts for most of the day, but I sometimes struggle to still smell it by the end of the day. I went to the Glossier store recently and smelled their two new perfumes, they were nice, but the original Glossier You is the best in my opinion.
"I bought my bottle years ago and it’s only halfway through as I only use it every so often, but I’m not sure I’d buy again full price now that the price has increased since I last bought it, but I would consider buying in a sale or asking for it as a gift."
Pros
- Smells like clean skin - in the best way
- Subtle and versatile scent
Cons
- Scent may not last all-day
Tried and tested Glossier foundation
www.sephora.co.uk
"I love this foundation - it’s my go-to when I want an even skin tone without it feeling or looking cakey. It blends really nicely, it looks natural and you don’t need much to cover your whole face. I have noticed that when I have dry patches it can cling to a bit, so I’ve learned to not use it in those areas and use the Stretch concealer there instead as it’s slightly more moisturising. However, I’ve recommended this to friends and they’ve loved it too, and it comes in lots of shade options!"
Pros
- A little goes a long way
- Blends well and doesn't feel cakey
- Good shade range
Cons
- Can cling to dry patches
Tried and tested Glossier concealer
www.sephora.co.uk
"This is my favourite concealer - I have dry/ combination skin and it’s great at covering spots as well as dry skin without clinging on to dry patches on fine lines. It feels super moisturising and easily blends, it truly feels like a balm that stretches with your skin. It’s buildable - but you may not get enough coverage with just one layer, but that’s also how it looks natural and not cakey, as it makes your skin still look like skin."
Pros
- Doesn't cling to dry patches or fine lines
- Looks natural
- Blends easily and doesn't feel cakey
Cons
- Not the highest coverage
Tried and tested Glossier blush
www.sephora.co.uk
"I have used several shades of this blush (Storm is my favourite) and you don’t need much to get a good colour on your cheeks - I’ve never run out and I don’t think I’m even halfway through any of them. I love that you only need your fingers and it blends out really nicely to look super natural, the product feels really light, like you have naturally rosy cheeks from being outside in the crisp air. Once I’ve finished with my cheeks I also use it on my lips and sometimes my eyelids - it’s super versatile! Only issue is, when you first get the product it’s very easy to accidentally squeeze out too much product, causing waste!"
Pros
- Well-pigmented - you don't need much product
- Blends out nicely and looks natural
- Can use it on your lips and eyes
Cons
- Can be easy to accidentally squeeze out too much product
Tried and tested Glossier bronzer
www.sephora.co.uk
"I have the cloud paint bronzer in Dune and I love it, I use it on my high points to give me a natural sunkissed glow. It’s just like the blush - blends easily, feels really light and you don’t need much product at all! I usually use the bronzer first and then use the blush straight after, but sometimes I blend them together (just like paint!) which gives a lovely healthy glow. As it’s similar packaging to the blush, I have had the issue of squeezing out too much product accidentally when it’s a new tube - but that’s the only con!"
Pros
- Well-pigmented - don't need much product
- Blends out nicely and looks natural
Cons
- Can be easy to accidentally squeeze out too much product
Tried and tested Glossier lip creme
www.sephora.co.uk
"This lip crème is demi-matte and is super pigmented, you don’t need much product to get a bold colour. It’s easy to apply and lasts a good amount of time - unless you’re constantly using lip balm like me! I have the shade Lane and it’s a lovely colour. The formula does feel a bit dry and can cling to dry skin - but when my lips aren’t chapped it looks super smooth, I do like to use a lip balm before or after though."
Pros
- Good pigmentation
- Lasts a long time
Cons
- Can feel dry for those of us with dry lips
Tried and tested Glossier high shine lipstick
www.sephora.co.uk
"Cranberry - the perfect ‘just bitten’ colour. I find the lipstick formula super conditioning on the lips, this is a winter staple for me. On me, the colour is very similar to the viral clinique lipstick black honey – maybe slightly more pigmented than black honey."
"Unlike the G Suit which can feel a bit dry, the ultralip is nice and moisturising - it feels like you’re putting on lip balm! It’s quite sheer but you can build the colour with more product, but I quite like that it’s sheer as it means I can apply it without looking in a mirror or worrying about the edges, as it blends really nicely. It gives that glossy sheen and a touch of colour that looks really pretty but natural."
Pros
- Buildable colour
- Conditioning on lips - no crusty dusty lips here
- Can be used with a lip liner for a more done-up look, or without for a natural finish
Cons
- Doesn't last as long as a matte lipstick - will need reapplying
- Can leave a slight lip stain (this is a pro for me, but could be a con for others)
Tried and tested Glossier sheer-matte lipstick
www.sephora.co.uk
"This lipstick is the perfect daily wear lipstick. I use the colour Malt and it looks super natural on, just giving my natural lip colour a little oomph. It also stays in place pretty well. I’ve bought this for both my sisters and they love it. "
Pros
- Very natural finish - your lips but better
- Buildable colour
- Colour is long-lasting
Cons
- Lid pops off sometimes
- I preferred it when it had a scent, the new formula doesn't have one
Tried and tested Glossier mascara
www.sephora.co.uk
"I’ve used the black mascara for years and switched to the brown mascara recently. The wand is designed in a way that grabs onto each lash and makes them look fuller and longer but still looks natural. It lasts all day and it’s water resistant - it’s never smudged, even when caught in the rain or after a cry! The product also lasts a long time, I usually only stock up once a year. I’m loving the brown at the moment as I like the subtle, natural look it gives off. However, if you’re looking for super thick, volumising mascara, this mascara may not be for you."
Pros
- Makes your lashes look fuller and longer but still look natural
- Doesn't smudge
- Water-resistant
Cons
- May not be volumising enough for some
Tried and tested Glossier lip balm
www.sephora.co.uk
"I’ve tried several Balm Dotcoms and Wild Fig is my favourite shade, and Mango and Strawberry are my favourite flavours, but they all taste great. The applicator makes it super easy to apply and the balm feels nice and moisturising, as well as looking lovely on the lips as they give a nice sheen and colour to them. A little also goes a long way, you don’t need much product so you won’t run out quickly.
"Although the balm feels moisturising, they don’t keep my lips moisturised in the long run for me, they do end up feeling dry after it’s worn off - but looking at reviews, this might just be a me problem as most people seem to say it’s moisturising. Also, the formula does have beeswax in it so it won’t be suitable for vegans."
Pros
- Great flavours
- Gives lips a nice sheen
Cons
- I personally found it wore off, leaving my lips dry
Tried and tested Glossier brow gel
www.sephora.co.uk
"This is my go-to brow product - I’ve used the brown and the clear - they both do a nice job of filling out and shaping the brows, making them look neat but naturally full. When the product is new it can sometimes have too much product on the brush that will build up too much on your brows, so you do have to make sure you wipe some product off before you use it. It’s super easy and quick to use, and one Boy Brow usually lasts me a year, when using a few times a week. One downside is that it doesn’t hold the brows shape if they’re moved - by clothing or a hand - so you may need to reshape if that happens."
Pros
- Shapes and fills brow while still looking natural
- Easy to apply
- Long-lasting
Cons
- Doesn't hold the brow shape if knocked or moved
Tried and tested Glossier serum
www.sephora.co.uk
"I’ve had this for several years and I’ve only used about three-quarters of it so far - a little goes a long way! I actually don’t use it as a serum in my skincare routine, but I use it as a highlight on the high points of my face as one of the last steps of my makeup routine. It gives a lovely healthy glow that lasts all day, even after a day festival. You do have to make sure you wash it off thoroughly though, as when I haven’t I’ve gotten breakouts from the oil."
Pros
- Gives a healthy glow
- A little goes a long way
- Lasts all-day
Cons
- Can cause a breakout if not washed off thoroughly
