Notting Hill Carnival Outfits 2024: Here’s what to wear if you still need inspiration

You could be wearing the plainest, simplest outfit going but add this vibrant feather shawl to your outfit to fit right in at Carnival.

Nobody makes sequin bodysuits quite like Easy Tiger. The independent fashion brand has a range of embellished bodies in shades of pink, blue and purple but this rainbow-hued design is the most Carnival-esque.

Love Island finalist Indiyah Polack partnered up with Gymshark to create a Carnival collab and unsurprisingly half the collection is perfect for the event. This oversized black tee paired with neon hot pants would be, well, HOT.

Speaking of Indiyah. The 2022 Islander can also be seen wearing these bandana print Gymshark trousers in the campaign and obviously it's Indiyah Polack so she makes everything look top tier but pair this with a crop top or over-sized bright tee and you'll nail comfy casual carnival clothing.

There is something about crochet, especially when it's a multi-coloured dress, that screams festival. This mini works on it's own, over a bikini or as a cover up and is it just us or does it have a slight psychedelic festival vibe to it as well?

If you don't want to go for a loud outfit but still want to feel the carnival spirit, face gems and jewels are an easy way to spice up a look. Just make sure you pick a set with some colour, Notting Hill Carnival is all about vibrancy and fun.

A pop of yellow will brighten up anything you decide to wear and these adidas mesh sorts combine style and comfort. The contrasting purple is ideal for Notting Hill carnival as it's all about clashing shades.

When it comes to footwear you are always better off picking a trainer as you are likely going to be on your feet for HOURS. There will be a hell of a lot of dancing during the Carnival parade and you don't want to miss it because you were the one who turned up in stilettos. Luckily the Nike Dunks are available in an unfathomable number of shades and prints but these orange and blue ones are our fave.

Baby tees are everywhere at the moment and they're not going away anytime soon. If you decide to opt for a crop tee be sure to pick one with a stand-out design like this hot pink t-shirt from Urban Outfitters. Pair with denim separates, biker shorts, a little bit of glitter or a clashing shade for ultimate carnival style.

It may be summer but this is England guys and we all know that the British weather is not the most predictable of climates therefore it might be handy to take along a jacket or at least something with a hood. Shein has a bunch of cool jackets and waterproof which will add to your outfit rather than ruin it

You can always trust Jaded to come through with a quirky take on a key piece of fashion and these patchwork jeans look like they were created by denim genius, Nigel Xavier. If you are feeling brave throw them on with a metallic or neon bikini but if you want to keep it safe they are enough of a statement to work with a t-shirt or vest.
