These last few months have given many of us the chance to take stock of our lives – and it seems Adele is no exception. In fact, insiders say she’s reconsidering a few of her past decisions, including her relationship with long-term friend and on/off hook-up Skepta.
Fans got excited last week when the musicians publicly flirted on Instagram after Adele posted snaps of herself enjoying her 2016 Glastonbury performance “five ciders in”, and we’re told they’re planning to meet up soon, with friends saying this could be the start of something serious.
“They’ve been talking and flirting up a storm recently,” says an insider close to 32-year-old Adele, who’s mum to son Angelo, seven, who she shares with ex-husband Simon Konecki.
“They talk most days and want to meet up as soon as it’s possible. There’s nobody Adele would rather hang out with than Skepta. They’re both wildly attracted to each other. More than anything, he makes her laugh and she feels like she can tell him anything. They want to see where this relationship takes them, and everyone around them is convinced they have what it takes to be a serious couple.”

Back in 2016, the rapper – real name Joseph Adenuga – confessed, “Adele texts me all the time.” But it was after she split from charity mogul Simon in April 2019 that things started to heat up between them.
“Adele’s been trying to play it cool since they last hooked up six months ago,” says the source. “They both agreed to take some time out and stay friends while they figured things out, but Adele never closed the door on them dating properly. Now, every time they FaceTime or Zoom, it’s obvious they’re mad about each other. Adele’s quietly confident this could turn into something special, and her friends are all convinced they’ll end up together.”
