Things have gone from strength to strength between Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater since they started dating in 2023. Now, it seems the couple is ready to take the next step in their relationship. Following the news that her ex-fiancé Pete Davidson is set to become a dad, a source tells heat that Ariana is also keen to start a family.
‘Ariana is genuinely thrilled for Pete and has already reached out to congratulate him,’ we’re told. ‘They’ve both moved on and she really wishes him the best. She thinks he’ll be a great dad and is happy he’s found someone who makes him feel grounded. But, hearing his good news has been a little bittersweet, because she’s more than ready to be at that stage herself.’
Pop star Ariana, 32, and comedian Pete, 31, had a short-lived but passionate relationship. Meanwhile, Ariana has found love with actor Ethan, 33, but their relationship didn’t get off to the smoothest start. Meeting on the set of the hit film Wicked in December 2022, the co-stars were both married to other people at the time. Ariana was with her husband, luxury realtor Dalton Gomez, while Ethan was with clinical psychologist Dr Lily Jay, the mother of his son, who’s nearly three. After reports of their romance surfaced in July 2023, the pair were hit with cheating allegations. However, they both maintain they only got together after splitting from their spouses.
Their relationship has blossomed ever since, and our insider says that after growing close to Ethan’s son, Ariana would love to expand their brood. ‘She’s so in love with Ethan, and seeing how sweet and attentive he is with his son melts her heart,’ the source explains.
‘She’s also a very active part of the equation when he’s got his son. She reads bedtime stories, plays make-believe and plans little adventures. She’s very hands-on and she’s loving it. She’s in a really good place emotionally and doesn’t want to wait too long to start a family. Pete’s baby news gave her a jolt, and now she’s more focused than ever.’
