Jamie had requested to keep his previous level of control over Britney’s investments, while Britney herself had asked that he be removed entirely. It’s a small step towards some form of freedom after 13 years of the singer living in a sort of court-appointed “prison”, with others controlling her personal and financial affairs.

“She is aware that there are people fighting for her to have more freedom, and it gives her a lot of comfort and hope,” our source shares. “But she also knows that the legal process is complicated, and it’ll take a lot for her to get full control of her life again. In the meantime, she makes the best of what she has, including her relationship with Sam [Asghari]. He’s her rock, and she would love to marry him one day.”
