Love Island’s Chris Hughes in shock career move you NEVER saw coming

The Love Island star's taken on a rather niche new role

We're starting to think Love Island's Chris Hughes is sort of...superhuman?

Not content with boasting such skills as reality TV star, renowned rapper (Little Bit Leave It's a banger, don't @ us), golfer and horse racing pundit on his CV, he's now announced a rather rogue new career move.

Yep - our favourite Gloucestershire export since double Gloucester cheese has taken on the niche (but oh-so-important) role of M&M's Chief Scare Officer; meaning he'll encourage the nation to 'scare responsibly' this Halloween.

It's a tough job, but someone's gotta do it.

Donning a snazzy high-vis and taking his new responsibilities very seriously indeed, Chris explains that some folk could be 'fatally frightened' this Halloween; should the practice of scaring others get a little out of hand.

He says, "Halloween could go one step too far this year and we don’t want anyone to be fatally frightened. I’m tired of being scared out of my wits every year, which is why I’m pleading the nation to ‘Scare Responsibly’ this year."

Wondering where all this has come from? Well, Dr Ravi Assomull - Harley Street-based Consultant Cardiologist - claims, "When humans become scared, stressed or excited the body's natural response is to pump out adrenaline, creating a surge that increases blood pressure, heart rate potentially placing stress on the heart muscle and coronary arteries."

Mate, you're telling us. We can barely get through an episode of Mona the Vampire without scaring ourselves s**tless.

If you're out trick or treating this weekend and worry you can't get your head around Chris's new protocol, M&M's has launched a helpline to offer advice on how to 'scare responsibly.'

Call 0800 952 0084 on 31st October to speak with a Scare Responsibly Officer, if that tickles your pickle.

This all comes after Chris gushed to heat over new golfer girlfriend Annabel Dimmock.

Chatting about what attracted him to Annabel, he told us, "She feels like she’s a best friend. I’ve obviously met lovely girls, but I’ve never had that connection where you want to spend every second with somebody. I’ve been waiting for that. It came along and it’s nice to get those butterflies again."

Admitting he's a bit of an old school gent at heart, Chris added, "My heart’s quite old-fashioned. I like to look after a person. I love designer clothing, but I’m not materialistic and money doesn’t bother me – I could live in the smallest house in the world. My life’s all about personal relationships."

So the prospect of marrying Annabel doesn't scare him, then?

"No," he said. "In the future that’s something I want, but not something that I feel I need to rush into. That comes with time and when it feels right."

Remember to Scare Responsibly this Halloween or else Chris'll be round in his high-vis giving you a good talking to, got it?

As you were.
