He’s reportedly held out hope that he’ll get back together with Jesy Nelson after they split in April – even posting a Twitter tribute to her “beauty” and “strength” a month later.
But Chris Hughes was dealt a massive blow last week, after Jesy’s rumoured romance with Our Girl actor Sean Sagar hit the headlines.
Jesy dismissed the rumours, insisting that she and Sean were “just friends” – but that didn’t stop fans sending their condolences to Chris.
Jesy and Sean set tongues wagging last week after spending several days together at a mutual friend’s house in Reading, before returning to her Essex home. They’ve also been following each other on social media for a while, and Sean has publicly liked Jesy’s sexy selfies, and while she denied any romance, the rumours quickly put the focus back on Chris and his heartbreak.

As heat has reported, Chris has been convinced that their break-up was temporary, with sources previously telling us, “He’s absolutely sure that he’s going to be getting back with her as soon as isolation ends.”
But with things getting back to normal, and Jesy stepping out without him, Chris might now have to face the fact that it’s over for good.
As one fan said, “I feel sorry for Chris, but if she’s moved on, I’m happy for her,” while another told Chris, “Gutted for you, but Sean is hot!” Sure that did plenty to lift his spirits.
