Love Island star Chris Hughes’ relationship and subsequent break up with singer Jesy Nelsontook us all by surprise and we low-key loved them together.
Luckily, it seems that there isn’t any bad blood between the pair as Chris revealed that they’re “still good friends”.
In a hilarious video, as part of his new campaign with Snug, the Sofa in a Box Company, Chris pokes fun at his string of high-profile breakups by becoming the face of the world’s first "sofa prenup" service.
Whilst speaking about his new partnership with the company, Chris opened up about his current relationship with Jesy.
He said, “I told her about this advert because it was funny. She joked with me and said I'm going to be like Owen Wilson because he did an advert for a competitor sofa company – I'm going to show her it.
"We're still good friends – we have no reason to dislike each other, we just went our own ways and that's life isn't it? I don't see any backlashes.”

He said, "She rang me, bless her, about 10 minutes after the documentary aired and she was just so overwhelmed and she just broke down on the phone to me. On 17th January 2020, Jesy and Chris celebrated their one-year anniversary! The pair shared a number of cute photos with each other, with Chris calling Jesy his 'Queen'.

In April 2020 the pair split. The following month, Jesy deleted all traces of Chris from her Instagram account.
Chris continued, “Obviously, I've had a few breakups in the public eye and sometimes they're difficult and sometimes they're not. The beauty of the advert is that it seemed like a good fit and some fun. It's so true, you do need time after a breakup – you need time to reflect and do your own thing.
“Everyone deals with breakups differently but even with Jesy we're still really good friends. We still support each other. It's actually really nice to come out of a relationship and to still get on, she's amazing, and I get on so well with her still.
"It's nice that we can still communicate and be in touch and have that… it doesn't have to be a stereotypical breakup.”

Three months after quitting Little Mix after over nine years in the band, Jesy recently shared a series of Instagram snaps hinting that she’s back in the recording studio to work on solo music.
In one image, Jesy can be seen in a recording studio alongside Brit-nominated producers Sunny and Patrick Jordan Patrikios, who previously worked with her whilst she was in the hugely successful girl group.
Last month, it was also revealed that she’s teamed up with Hanni Ibrahim who helped pen Little Mix’s 2018 album LM5.
We absolutely can’t wait to hear what she’s been working on, tbh.
