It started as a fun night out for Jesy Nelson and Love Island's Chris Hughes at the NTAs. Jesy and Chris walked the red carpet, Jesy won the Best Factual Programme award for her documentary Odd One Out and the pair then set off to an afterparty.
However, when leaving their hotel, Chris became involved in an altercation with a photographer, which saw punches being thrown, as Jesy waited in a taxi.
And now the reason behind the fight has been revealed.
Sources have told MailOnline the reason behind the brawl was because Jesy's management didn't want her doing joint interviews with her boyfriend "to protect her image."
A source told the publication, "Chris was upset after it was agreed that Jesy would do interviews about her documentary on her own.
"Usually he understand that Jesy's work is separate to their relationship but he was told on the night that he wasn't to do chats with Jesy, which riled him."

He said, "She rang me, bless her, about 10 minutes after the documentary aired and she was just so overwhelmed and she just broke down on the phone to me. She's a strong girl now, she's extremely strong."Visibly upset, Chris then added, "I don't know why, but I get so emotional when I'm speaking about it."

On 17th January 2020, Jesy and Chris celebrated their one-year anniversary! The pair shared a number of cute photos with each other, with Chris calling Jesy his 'Queen'.

In April 2020 the pair split. The following month, Jesy deleted all traces of Chris from her Instagram account.
They added, "After their row he was pent-up and sturggled to contain his frustration, leading to his outburst against the photographer."
Metropolitian Police confirmed they were investigating the incident after recieving a report of assault and criminal damage.
A spokesperson for Met Police said, "We can confirm that at 03:52hrs on Wednesday, 29 January, police received a report of assault and criminal damage following an altercation between two men at Waterview Drive, Greenwich."

"The incident is reported to have taken place at a time between 23:00hrs on Tuesday, 28 January and 01:00hrs on Wednesday, 29 January.
"The reported criminal damage relates to photographic equipment. There were no reported injuries. There have been no arrests. Enquiries continue."
Chris has since publicly apologised for his actions, while Jesy has remained silent on the issue.
