We all know that women don’t let go of grudges easily, and when one of those women is Coleen Rooney involved in a highly controversial court case, it seems she will stop at nothing to prove her point.
After it was recently claimed that Coleen is planning to use Rebekah Vardy’s ex-husband as a witness in court, a source tells us friends and family worry Coleen is going too far.
“Coleen is being warned by her family and close friends that she's in danger of crossing a line that there's no return from in this battle with Becky,” our source explains. “She's been so determined to win that she's trying to dig up all the old skeletons in Becky's past and trying to get them on side.”
Becky, 39, recently wrote a blog post on the subject in which she said that the legal case – in which she's suing Coleen for libel after the latter accused her of leaking stories– had taken a “dark turn”. In the piece, she referred to rumours that her ex-husband – who she married in her early twenties and has accused of being abusive (which he strongly denies) – will be used in court as a witness, describing it as a “cruel threat to destroy the me that has survived”.

And now our insider tells us Coleen, 35, is not going to come out of this latest development well.
“Knowing there was no way to prove Becky leaked the info when so many people had access to her Instagram account, Coleen set out on a mission of character assassination to show that it's something Becky has done before. But now Becky has spoken out about how intimidating it's all become – and Coleen is raging that Becky is playing the victim here and thinks it’s all mind games. Coleen has not even stopped for a moment to consider the impact she’s having; Becky is apparently really suffering through all of this, and Coleen is not coming out well.”

In a bizarre twist last week, Mark Feehily of Westlife has decided he should be the one to settle the feud. The singer said they are planning to invite both Coleen and Becky to a show – Westlife performed at the Rooneys’ wedding while Shane [Filan] performed at the Vardys’.
“We will be like the UN,” he said last week. “We would love to be involved in them making peace with each other. Westlife’s music has played a big part in many people’s marriages, break-ups, christenings and funerals, so who knows?”
