The Met Gala, David Beckham’s 50th, the TV BAFTAs… May 2025 has had some glittering shindigs in the calendar. And we have no doubt that Dani Dyer tying the knot to her boyfriend of four years, West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen, this month is going to be equally as stellar (especially now that her taxing task of seating arrangements is done and dusted). And if you were to ask us to hedge our bets on whether Dani, 28, or her famous father, Cockney favourite and die-hard West Ham fanatic Danny Dyer, was more excited about her becoming Mrs Dyer-Bowen, we don’t think we’d be able to call it.
The former reality star – mum to Santi, four, from a previous relationship, and two-year-old twins Summer and Star with Jarrod, 28 – has had a whirlwind seven years since her fame-launching summer in 2018, when she starred on and later won series four of Love Island with now-ex Jack Fincham. The down-to-earth personality that won viewers over on the dating show has since earned her a stream of other career opportunities, including TV gigs and a podcast with her dad, as well as countless brand opportunities, which have now extended to an Eucerin ambassadorship.
While Strictly and I’m A Celeb are also not out of the question one day, it’s only right that we first focus on her next step, which will be on her wedding...

How are you feeling about your wedding day?
I'm really excited. The lead-up has been really fun and everything has come around so quickly. I remember when we hit January, I thought we had so much time, and now we are here! It’s incredible. I have finally done my table plans now. Until you are in there writing names out, making sure you have tables of ten, it’s the most stressful experience ever – that’s the only thing I’ve not enjoyed.
How is it going to feel to be called Mrs Bowen?
It’s lovely. I am going to keep the Dyer - I am going to do Dani Dyer-Bowen just because of my work. I feel like if I am Dani Bowen, it takes that thing away from me. We are double-barrelling it. I am really looking forward to it.
As a West Ham fan, your dad must think Jarrod is the ideal son-in-law…
He loves him. My dad has had years of me with boyfriends. And Jarrod… I know he plays for West Ham and that’s a positive for him, but he just really loves him. I get it now. Now I have got kids myself, all you want is for them to be happy, and I totally appreciate and respect that. We’ve joked many a time that Jarrod is marrying the wrong Dani Dyer!
Aside from becoming Dani Dyer-Bowen, what else is on the agenda for you?
I am actually going away in June for work. I can’t say anything about it though! I’ve been busy. I’ve just presented a documentary, Greggs Vs McDonalds, for Channel 4 and Dad and I are also filming our caravan park series too. We are having a fun time.

You two are a dream team…
I adore him, he is my best friend. We get on so well and it’s so easy. That dad/daughter thing, I totally get. I love my mum to pieces, but it’s just that weird thing with the dad and the daughter. I always say to Jarrod how it is so lovely, and I would love him to have that with the twins. You just want to look after your dad. I like to look after him! It’s great we work together. It’s wild but great.
How are you juggling work with being a mum?
At the beginning, it was full-on. I would say no to things a whole lot more. If I got asked to go away, it didn’t feel right. I was like, ‘I can’t leave them’. Whereas now, you do have to sacrifice certain things - and go and do things. I still can’t believe I am a mum of three. I’m like, ‘How I have got three children?!’
Do you think there will ever be a time when you take up an offer to appear on Strictly or I’m A Celebrity?
The twins are turning two, so we will see. Whatever happens, happens - I wouldn’t say no!
Are you a gym girl?
Yeah! If I could go to the gym every day, I would! I have loved the gym since I was 13. I used to do Coleen Rooney’s workout DVDs.

Do you watch what you eat?
Since I got with Jarrod, I have never eaten so much broccoli and salads in my life! I enjoy being healthy. Don’t get me wrong, at night time, I always have something sweet and I will never deprive myself of that.
Being with a footballer is great for health reasons, then!
[Laughs] We do have one takeaway a month… I love a Chinese, I go round to my mum and dad’s for one.
How would you describe your confidence?
You definitely have your ups and downs. I have had three children, so I think your body always gets knocked back a little bit. It is about getting used to your new body. The majority of my friends have had kids. Your belly never goes back - you can stand up and it looks great, but as soon as you sit down, you’ve got all your excess skin! Everything gets a little bit gangly - it’s part of you. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve seen pictures of me before Love Island and I’ve thought, ‘God’. I think we all have our moments, but when you do have the good days, you should embrace them.
Have you ever suffered from impostor syndrome?
I have always suffered - I think it’s in you to be that way. My mum is the most confident person ever and she should have been the performer, whereas Dad is doing great things but is always going, ‘Is this going to happen? Is that going to happen?’ Jarrod’s mum bought me these manifestation cards and I sage the house now. I am a little nuts with my sage, but I have definitely been more positive and appreciated life more.
How do you deal with trolling?
Touch wood, everything is positive. But of course, you get your down moments. And when you are down, you look for it. You think, ‘Oh, I feel shit so let me clarify who I am.’ It’s so ridiculous what we do as people. You can get caught up in it but it’s just outside noise.

What is your skincare routine?
Night time is when I do my cleansing, serums and eye creams. When you have your ‘full girl’ - you shave, you exfoliate, you put your bits on - I lay there smothered in oil, like, ‘This is it, it’s all soaking in.’
Tell us about being an ambassador for Eucerin skincare…
I’ve been using their products for four years. I never had any skin problems but when I had Santi, I started getting bad dark spots and I didn’t know what it was. I spoke to a doctor who said it was hormone-based. Eucerin got in touch to show me their anti-pigment skin range and products that contain the ingredient Thiamidol, and when to use their products. It’s been such a life changer.
The breakouts can’t have been fun...
It really knocked my confidence. When I was younger, I never used anything to protect myself. I would oil myself up, sizzle away and not realise the harmful effects if you don’t use SPF or the correct body cream. I never liked caking on make-up, but it got to the point where I was leaving the house covering my face with concealer because I felt everyone noticed the breakouts.
Do you self-tan?
I am not going to lie, before I go on holiday, I do have a few sun beds but not routinely in the year because they are not a good thing. I never tan my face.
Would you say celebs are getting better at being open?
I do think it’s getting better. People are sharing their stories a lot more and talking about their skin. It’s so easy to live in a picture-perfect world, but nobody is perfect.

Looking back now, what would you say to your 18-year-old self?
To enjoy it! My sister is 18 and there is all that worry, ‘What am I going to do? Who am I going to be?’ You are so young at 18. You don’t need a boyfriend and it is good to just enjoy yourself. There is so much pressure, and I always say to my sister, ‘You have your best years of your life ahead of you.’
It’s such an exciting new chapter for you now...
I am in a really good place! Things feel like they are falling my way and it’s what I have always wanted.
Thiamidol is a patented ingredient to Beiersdorf, the company behind the powerhouse brand Eucerin. It is an active ingredient that acts at the root cause of hyperpigmentation. You can find Thiamidol in Dani’s favourite serum, the Eucerin Anti-Pigment Dual Serum
