After being sent home from hospital with just "days to live," Ashley Cain's daughter Azaylia has now received a touching message from US celeb Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson with words of love and encouragement.

Taking to Instagram to send the family support, the Jumanji star explained that a friend of Ashley's had popped up in his DMs.

He said, "I just happened to pick up her message and it sent me to your page, and I want to tell you, first of all, I'm so sorry to hear about your beautiful daughter Azaylia. Tell that little lion that I said, 'Let's go champ and just stay strong.'"

The 48 year old went on to add, "Your daughter's strength is what strengthens you and all her loved ones around her, and she's already had this incredible impact on the world.

"Stay strong brother and, again, my heart breaks for you."

Resharing the actor's message on his own social media, the former Ex on the Beach star explained how he was "humbled" by the tribute, writing, "I'm so proud of my little girl and the impact she's had on so many people around the world."

Last week, the 30 year old explained to followers that, despite raising over £1million for the seven month old's cancer treatment, specialists had since claimed that Azaylia's specific leukaemia was so rare they wouldn't be able to generate the therapy for her.

He said, "We had to have a CT scan on Azaylia's head. The results came back the next day saying that Azaylia's got two very big leukaemic tumours in her brain.

"They also said that the chemotherapy that's usually given to treat leukaemia in the spine and on the brain will not be available. If they tried, it would kill her.

"At that point, our world came down. Consultants said that they think she's only got one, two days to live."

We send our love and support to Azaylia and her family at this tough time.
