We’re pretty sure Gemma Collins and James “Arg” Argent have now beaten Ross and Rachel for the number of break-ups and make-ups. Now, after nearly three months apart, the Essex couple seem to have reunited again, and were spotted out having dinner together in London last week.
But a source close to 39-year-old Gemma tells heat that her friends are worried Arg could be back in her life for all the wrong reasons.
We’re told, “Her friends are really worried that Arg sees Gem as a way of being taken care of. She has said that she knows what she’s doing – but she has a massive weak spot for Arg, even when she knows deep down he’s sliding back into her DMs for all the wrong reasons.”
It was reported last week that The GC has raked in over £5k a week during lockdown, despite not being able to work as much as she normally would. It is said to be the first time that the reality star has earned more money than 32-year-old Arg – who is reportedly broke after a tough year – something her friends are worried he’s acutely aware of.

Gemma dated Rami Hawash on and off for three years between 2011 and 2014. The owner of a mechanical repairs company in Essex briefly appeared in TOWIE, and the couple were even rumoured to be engaged at one point before they called it off for good in 2014. Gemma sparked rumours that she'd got back together with Rami in March 2017 when she was spotted wearing the engagement ring he'd bought her, but they split for good later in 2017.

Gemma was romantically linked to her TOWIE co-star Charlie King, and was pictured holding hands with him in London in April 2012. Although nothing was ever confirmed, Gemma did admitted that they kissed on an episode of TOWIE in March 2017, telling him, "Unbelievable... I'm so glad I shared a kiss with you once." Charlie came out as gay live on This Morning in 2014.

Gemma met bartender JJ Goodman at the Cannes Lions festival in July 2016 and the pair hit it off, with Gem revealing that she thought he could even be The One, "He's a proper gentleman. Any man who can take treat me like a princess and then share a Club Sandwich with me is definitely "The One" in my books." However, nothing seemed to come of it.

At Arg's 30th birthday party, he stood up and practically declared his love for Gemma, telling the congregation, "Gemma you're so lovely to me, you're always there whenever I need you. You treat me with such respect, you're kind to me and you make me laugh so much." They then had a lovely kiss.

Arg officially asked Gemma to be his girlfriend on TOWIE in April 2018, and the pair don't seem to have looked back since! He's been supporting her during her stint on Dancing On Ice and they've even been talking about having children together.HOWEVER - in March 2019, Arg and Gem briefly split after Arg was found to have sent Gemma some VILE texts. Reports suggested that Gemma 'kicked Arg out of the house' after he shared a video of her snoring, before things escalated and he reportedly told her she has 'more rolls than Greggs'.There were also reports that when Gemma asked Arg to leave her home, the TOWIE star added, 'You fat horrible lump. Nasty mean woman. Who the f--- do you think you are? You've got more rolls than Greggs.' [sic]Thankfully, they're back on track as of March 2019!
As well as filming her reality show Diva In Lockdown, in July she signed a six figure deal to become the face of Wizz Air, now we’re told, “Her friends think it’s all a little too convenient that Arg has been back in touch after learning that Gem has been raking it in. They all feel that he misses getting that tender loving care from Gem, and the financial support. She always showered him with gifts and he’s starting to realise what he’s thrown away. Gem still feels as though it’s her job to fix Arg. She’s offered to pay for his rehab before and has always been very generous with him.”

After admitting to struggling with a cocaine addiction for seven years, and spending three months in a Thai rehab earlier this year, Arg said, “This time I really believe in my heart of hearts I’m going to stay clean and sober.” And we’re told Gemma has taken notice of his hard work – despite their romance coming to a horrible end in July after he reportedly called her a “hippo” and asked for an open relationship.
“Gem doesn’t want to completely close the door on Arg, especially as he has been showing some promising signs with his recovery,” says the source. “She feels she has a real bond with him and has never really given up on her dream of him being the father of her child. But her friends are begging her not to fall for it again. She’s worked too hard to be taken advantage of.”
