It’s been the most talked- about girlband reunion since, er, The Pussycat Dolls last week, but as theGirls Aloud comeback looks more and more likely, we’re told the group’s most famous member is starting to get cold feet.
While Cheryl would love to reunite with Kimberley Walsh, Nicola Roberts, Nadine Coyle and Sarah Harding, she’s been very open about her desire to give her two-year-old son Bear a sibling, even if it means using a sperm donor. And, as heat has reported, in an ideal world she would have a baby or get pregnant next year – but now a Girls Aloud comeback has caused her to reconsider.
“With Nadine in the spotlight again after I’m A Celeb, there’s a sense that, if they are going to do something, this is the time to do it – if they leave it any longer, they put staying relevant at risk,” says our source. “They need to ride the wave of interest – if they were to wait even a year, the moment would be gone. And, while Cheryl has been a driving force in all this and she really wants it to happen for the sake of her career, she’s also struggling with the timing.”
The source continues, “Cheryl had set her mind on having another baby next year, but she knows that she can’t do a tour and commit to getting pregnant, too. Plus, her last pregnancy was really tough physically, and she knows how badly she was affected by exhaustion and morning sickness as well as the diabetes she developed. There’s no way she could even contemplate dancing around onstage and all the late nights. Juggling that with Bear – it’d just be too much.”

Jacqueline Jossa and Dan Osborne ‘over’ after celeb threesome claims
We’re told, “She knows she has to choose between Girls Aloud and pressing ahead with her baby plans. It’s tough, because she feels that there won’t be a second chance with Girls Aloud – this is it. But at the same time, she’s terrified of putting off the baby plans for too long in case it doesn’t happen, or it takes more time to conceive – that’s her biggest fear. She’s been trying to seek reassurance from doctors that it’s fine to leave it for six months or longer, but no one can guarantee anything, so in the end, it has to be her choice.”
The insider adds, “It’s keeping her awake at night, trying to decide – she knows that it’s now or never with the career plans. They’ve got to pounce now with an announcement. She really hopes she’ll make the right choice – because there’s always the fear in the back of her mind that she could put off her dream of having the baby to do a Girls Aloud reunion, but then it will flop or they will never make it onstage because they all fall out. It’s a tough decision.”
