We're not going to lie, the families of Gogglebox feel like our own and we get so used to seeing them most Fridays on Channel 4.
Over the years we've had to say goodbye to some familiar faces and now is the turn of the beloved Baggs family, who have decided to quit the show as they "couldn't commit" to filming.
The family is made up of Joe Baggs, mum Lisa, dad Terry and brother George - and they first joined the series back in 2020.
Joe shared the news on Instagram, writing, "Hey everyone! Wanted to give you a quick update on the Baggs family 💙
"After 3 incredible seasons on Channel 4’s Gogglebox we have taken the decision to leave the show. We have loved every second of being part of the Gogglebox family and it’s truly been the opportunity of a lifetime.
"With lots of exciting opportunities approaching for us all, we just couldn’t commit to filming another series but are so grateful for the opportunity.
Thank you for all of your support whilst we have been on the show and over on TikTok. We hope that you’re as excited as we are for what’s coming next! Much love, The Baggs 💙."
When the family joined the show in 2020, they were already pretty well known on TikTok via Joe's very successful TikTok account.
Even though he's all over TikTok (you've probably seen him on your FWP), Joe recently shared a glimpse of himself in a completely new light.
He shocked fans when he posted images and videos of him in drag on his socials. And we have to say...he definitely wouldn't look out of place on the RuPaul's Drag-race UK runway.
Joe posted a TikTok documenting his transformation and he even used RuPaul's song 'Just What They Want', practically making it an audition tape for Drag Race and WE ARE HERE FOR IT.
Joe also posted a series of photos of his new look on Instagram and he captioned one of the photos, "I just want @lucyannetts_mua to live with me and paint my face every day 🥲 Outhaus last night was incredible 🥶."
Whether this look was just for the night, or whether it's an attempt to audition for Drag Race (which may just be wishful thinking on our part) Joe looks incredible, and we're excited to see his future looks.
Whilst the Essex based family got off to a good start, fans were confused when they didn't appear in the first of this year's series. It led some viewers to speculate that they had been axed from the show especially after it was later reported that they’d been dropped after sparking “viewer backlash”.
A source told the Daily Star, “The Baggs family are out of the show and won’t be appearing anymore.
“They only lasted one series. It was short and sweet.”

The Moffatts then
Arguably the shows biggest export, Scarlett Moffatt has gone on to do some incredible things since leaving the show in 2016, winning I'm a Celeb and landing presenting roles on Extra Camp and Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway.

The family soon cleared up these rumours, with Lisa explaining in an Instagram post that due to Covid restrictions they were unable to film. Covid restrictions apparently led to a shortage in camera equipment meaning not all families could be included in the series.
Joe also took to Instagram to make clear the fact they hadn't been axed. He stated, "Due to the lockdown there aren't enough cameras to go round to the entire cast and therefore we decided as a family to take a series off.
"Of course there was criticism about us, the producers said this happens to all new families so it's not uncommon and not a reason for people to get cut from the show."
Well luckily for us and the Baggs, they were able to return to the show later in 2021, bringing a much needed dose of Essex to the series.
