Sambuca Kelly was one of the most memorable characters from Waterloo Road and her tragic storyline still sticks with us to this day (we were not prepared for it at all).

Holly Kenny was a big part of why people became so attached to Sambuca and she delivered an incredible performance.

Fast forward over a decade and Holly looks COMPLETELY different to her Waterloo Road days, as she's now swapped acting for dog walking.

Yep, Holly is now all grown up and found a new career, opening her own business Puppy Power Hour. She's also BEAUTIFUL.

With the announcement that Waterloo Road is returning at some point this year with a few original cast members coming back this may have got you wondering what Holly's up to now.

Here's everything Holly Kenny has been up to since leaving Waterloo Road...

Who is Holly Kenny?

Holly Kenny is an actor from Leeds. She is best known for playing the character of Sambuca Kelly in Waterloo Road. Before joining Waterloo Road Holly acted in television films Mischief Night and White Girl, that latter of which won a BAFTA in 2009.

She joined Waterloo Road in its fourth series in 2009, leaving in the seventh series in 2011 after her character was killed off. Since starring in the show she has acted in Shameless, The Mill and In the Club.

In recent years, however, Holly has retired from acting taking up a career as a dog walker, starting up her own dog walking company Puppy Power Hour. Holly regularly posts selfies of her with her doggy clientele and general dog content on the business' Instagram page @puppypowerhour.

How old is Holly Kenny?

Holly Kenny was born on 23 January 1995, meaning she is currently 27 years old.

What happened to Sambuca Kelly on Waterloo Road?

Sambuca was born to an abusive father (Reynold Kelly), and a troubled mother (Rose Kelly) who named her after her favourite drink (Sambuca). She was the third of five children. She had three half brothers, Marley Kelly, Earl Kelly and Denzil Kelly, and one baby brother, Prince Kelly, who was rarely featured in the series.

Her main storylines in the show involved her struggles with her homelife. Reynold was abusive and Sam had to be in foster care for a time. In the end she was left in the care of teacher Thomas Clarkson whilst he was dating Rose, along with her brothers Denzil and Prince. Sam and Denzil even started to call Tom dad (awww).

Whilst her home-life finally seemed to be coming together, Sam was discovered to have a brain tumour which, after a long battle, tragically took her life. She was dating Finn Sharkey at the time of her death who, along with Tom and many other characters, were left devastated.

Sam's death was followed by her Denzil's who died after getting hit by a lorry a few months later (honestly, poor Tom).
