Kim Kardashian once famously called her older sister Kourtney, “the least exciting to look at” – but who’s laughing now? Kourtney, that’s who, after she made her debut at the Oscars last week alongside fiancé Travis Barker.
While the Kardashians may have been attending Oscar after-parties for years, Kourtney is the first in the family to score an invitation to the actual awards ceremony. It may have had a little something to do with the fact musician Travis was performing at the ceremony, but it still seems to have left Kim seething and craving that spotlight again.
“After seeing Kourtney grab all the attention, Kim is making it her mission to make the Met Gala her big red-carpet debut as a couple with boyfriend Pete Davidson,” a source tells heat.
Last week, Kim was keen to play the supportive sister, writing, “This is iconic” on a picture of Kourtney and Travis in their matching all-black outfits. And Kourtney, 42, made sure she and Travis, 46, were noticed on the red carpet with one of their usual extreme PDAs.

Kim and Kourtney's row over North West and Penelope Disick's Candyland themed party went on for a few days but it reached its peak when they came to blows and almost called it off. While Kourtney was arguing it'll be too much sugar for the kids, Kim pointed out that was the whole theme of the party. Luckily they went ahead with it but the kids ended up being far too hyper… following all that candy.

Scott has definitely had the best character development throughout the series. Remember the early series when he went wild with his partying? He punched the mirror in Miami and shoved money down the waiters throat? Everyone was embarrassed and of course, the following day he apologised.

This row still makes us cringe whenever we think about it. During dinner Kourtney revealed Penelope scratched her nanny on the face and it resulted in her quitting. Things were getting pretty heated between everyone but it certainly took a turn when Corey said if she was his child he would have given her a "spanking for sure". Oh boy...

It all kicked off when Caitlyn Jenner publicly announced she was going to the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show that Kendall was walking. Kendall put her foot down and admitted she was "p-ssed" at her dad for taking the attention and went on to disinvite her. Awks.

This will always be our funniest KUWTK episode. When the Kardashian sisters (and Kim's friend Larsa Pippen) were judging Kris for letting Rob stay in one of her houses, Kris put her foot down. Throwback to Kourtney and Khloe take Miami (an iconic time, tbh). Jonathan should learn not to get involved in family fights. During the early days he defended Kim and ended up rowing with Kourtney. After Kourt told him "you're shoved so far up Kim's ass" and "You're such a f—king loser", he clapped back and said, "Scott's never going to marry you!" Kourt didn't take his jibe lightly and ended up slapping him around the face.

The Kardashians Christmas party is one we would LOVE to go to but in 2018 things got a little awkward when Kendall wanted her dad Caitlyn to attend but Kris wasn't keen. After Kris pointed out that it could be awkward because of all the drama from Caitlyn's book, Kendall made it clear she wanted her dad there.

While the Kardashians were on holiday, things got awkward when Jonathan Cheban told Malika Haaq that he got a bigger room because his best friend Kim is more famous than her best pal Khloe. When Rob started dating Blac Chyna it was awkward for the entire family but things took a turn when he gave her an iPad… that Kendall gave him for HIS birthday. To top it all off, Kendall found out through Instagram.
Kim and younger sister Kendall Jenner later joined Kravis at the Vanity Fair after- party, which Kim made sure to document all over her social media. But now Kim wants to guarantee she’s the most exciting sister to look at by walking the Met Gala red carpet with Pete, 28, by her side.
We’re told, “She is desperate for them to have the Met as their red-carpet debut and nothing is going to get in her way. She wants to up the stakes after Kourtney’s big moment – it may sound petty, but Kim and her sisters are still fiercely competitive.”
Kourtney and Travis’ relationship first made a splash back in January 2021, and as heat previously told you, Kim was not happy about sharing the spotlight with her older sister. An insider close to the reality stars told us that Kim finding her own tattooed bad boy in Pete was partly fuelled by her wanting the focus back on her – at least that’s how Kourtney saw it.

“Kourtney thinks she’s just doing this for attention and to compete with her,” our insider divulged.
“Kourtney has really been enjoying her moment in the spotlight after years of being on the sidelines and feels as though Kim can’t let her have it, even for a minute. Kourtney just wants to fight it out with Kim and tell her to back off and get her own style, but Kim is ignoring it and feels that whatever she’s doing is fair game. But Kourtney has accused Kim of wanting to be part of the ‘cool gang’ and has said she’s not invited.”

But when the “cool gang” is Anna Wintour and the Met Gala, it’s not quite that simple. Our source says, “Anna is strict with who she allows at the Met Gala and Pete is not currently on the list to attend, so Kim has first got to beg Anna for an invite, and then persuade Pete to come with her.
“He has been stressed out after the Kanye fallout, and is worried going to the Met is stepping on his territory, since Kim and Kanye used to go together and he would dress her. But Kim sees how much fun Kourtney and Travis are having and she wants that for herself.
“Some of her friends worry Kim’s pushing Pete into a world that he doesn’t feel comfortable in, but she feels now’s the time they need to step their game up in a big way.”
