When Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kanye West in February, she asked to share custody of their four children. But now it seems that their “amicable” split is anything but – and Kim is finding the idea of a joint arrangement tough to swallow.
The couple – who would have been celebrating their seven-year wedding anniversary later this month – are parents to North, seven, Saint, five, Chicago, two and one-year-old Psalm. And while the kids have mainly been living with Kim for the past few months, Kanye is keen to make up for lost time and whisk them off on a luxury family holiday.
“Kim and Kanye are set for a major showdown,” an insider tells heat. “Because he’s insisting on a five-star getaway abroad with the children ahead of Father’s Day – but she doesn’t really want them to be anywhere too far away.”
In both Kim and Kanye’s divorce filings, the couple cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their spilt. They’ve also kept their properties separate throughout as part of their prenuptial agreement, and Kanye has been spending most of his time at his place in Wyoming.

Kim recently jetted off for an exotic “spring break” holiday with the kids and other members of the Kardashian family, and now we’re told Kanye wants his turn.

“His birthday is in early June and it’s Father’s Day soon after, so for him it’s a perfect time to take the kids somewhere special. Ultimately, he’ll probably have to allow Kim to tag along, because she’s not going to budge. That means they’ll have to put their bickering aside and put on a united front for the kids, which is easier said than done as Kanye is so resentful towards Kim.”
The source adds, “If it were down to her, they’d be trying to have a conscious uncoupling-type of arrangement. But he’s still very bitter and won’t even refer to her by name. It’s going to get increasingly tough on the kids.”
