Kim Kardashian comments on husband Kanye West’s tweets

Kanye West has claimed he has been trying to divorce his wife, Kim Kardashian, for almost two years since she had an alleged meeting with rapper Meek Mill in a hotel (appearing to reference when they teamed up to speak at the inaugural Criminal Justice Reform Summit in Los Angeles in November 2018).

In the series of deleted tweets this morning, the rapper added that two doctors attempted to reach him with Kim to '5150' him. (5150 is a California law which states that someone who poses a threat to themselves or others as a result of their mental health can be detained for 72 hours and evaluated in a psychiatric facility.) He also called Kim a "white supremacist" and branded his mother-in-law Kris Jenner "Kris Jong Un".

Kris has now cryptically spoken out about the drama via an Instagram Story, about an astrology chart, saying, "In case you didn't know it's National Moon Day. This was interesting, they did a chart decipher for me [that reads] 'Even if drama rises to the surface and seems harder than you can handle, you have an unseen yet constant steadfastness that keeps you grounded'. Well praise the lord!"

Kim has also now commented, writing on Instagram in a heartfelt statement, "As many of you know, Kanye has bipolar disorder. Anyone who has this or has a loved one in their life who does, knows know incredibly complicated and painful it is to understand. I've never spoken publicly about how this has affected us at home because I am very protective of my children and Kanye's right to privacy when it comes to his health.

''But today, I feel like I should comment on it because of the stigma and misconceptions about mental health. Those that understand mental illness or even compulsive behaviour know that the family is powerless unless the person is a minor."

She continued, "People who are unaware or far removed from this experience can be judgemental and not understand that the individual themselves have to engage in the process of getting help no matter how hard family and friends try. I understand Kanye is subject to criticism because he is a public figure and is actions at times can cause strong opinions and emotions.

"He is a brilliant but complicated person who on top of the pressures of being an artist and a black man, who experienced the personal loss of his mother, and has to deal with the pressure and isolation that is highlighted by his bipolar disorder.

"Those who are close with Kanye know his heart and understand his words sometimes do not align with his intensions."

This morning's tweets follow Kanye's tirade on Monday, where he also accused Kim of trying to lock him up and compared his life to the movie Get Out. The rapper's outburst followed Kanye kickstarting his presidential campaign at the weekend, where he cried as he revealed that he considered aborting their oldest child North. He tweeted, "Kim was trying to fly to Wyoming with a doctor to lock me up like in the movie Get Out because I cried about saving my daughter's life yesterday."

Kanye - who was hospitalised in 2016 - has openly spoken about his struggle with bipolar. "When you’re in this state, you’re hyper-paranoid about everything," the singer told David Letterman last year. ''Everyone — this is my experience, other people have different experiences — everyone now is an actor.

"Everything’s a conspiracy. You feel the government is putting chips in your head," he added, speaking about his experiences. "You feel you’re being recorded. You feel all these things. You have this moment [where] you feel everyone wants to kill you. You pretty much don’t trust anyone."
