Poor Maya Jama (not literally – she recently became a millionaire).
The TV personality only wanted to do a good deed when she set up fundraising company Collections, aiming to raise money for the homeless by gathering and auctioning off designer outfits worn by herself and other celebrities.
But now she’s been forced to throw in the towel after the current climate and coronavirus restrictions have made her latest project “impossible”.
The former Radio 1 DJ set up a business model whereby the rich and famous would donate second hand clothes which would then be nabbed at swish fundraising events for the Big Issue Foundation, but, said her business partner, “Collections runs on public events and obviously we can’t run public events at the moment".

We're still devastated about Stormzy and Maya Jama splitting, tbh. Cheryl literally surprised the world when she announced on Instagram that she had eloped with Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini after three months of dating. The pair seemed totally in love until Cheryl raised concerns among fans after losing a lot of weight and slammed any split rumours by revealing her father in law had died. Unfortunately their romance wasn't to last and after 18 months of marriage they split.
Little Mix's Perri Edwards and One Direction's Zayn Malik were X Factor sweethearts. They supported each other's career, posted adorable snaps and even got a puppy together. The singers then got engaged but two years later – following cheating accusations and after Zayn quit One Direction – it came to light that he ended their relationship. After eight years together Fergie and Josh Duhamel announced their split. Fast forward two years and Fergie filed for divorce.

“You can’t fundraise during a pandemic,” she continued. “Asking our supporters to spend money when families are losing their jobs and going through a hard time is insensitive
“We will continue to host fundraisers in the future but don’t need a limited company to do it.
“Instead will have more collaborations with other charities in the future.”

Maya is only 24 but this year gained her millionaire status with presenting roles on Radio 1, The Circle and True Love or True Lies, as well as her work with fashion brands like PrettyLittleThing and JD Sports, and even recently launched her own skincare range, MIJ Masks.
“It’s all just a bit mental, I still have moments where I say, 'what the hell is going on?' and pinching myself,” she told Metro.
“From a council estate in Bristol, it’s nuts, it’s surreal.
“I always felt like I would have a job like this, I always hoped and dreamed but the reality of it hasn’t hit home yet.”
