Liverpudlian Michael Griffiths appeared on Love Island in 2019 and shocked us all with all the drama he brought to the villa when his head was turned in Casa Amor.

Though originally coupled with eventual winner Amber Gill, Michael decided to ditch the Geordie lass to get with Joanna Chimonides, which had our jaws dropping.

It was a moment watched by a staggering 43 million people and the ensuing fallout sparked one of the most iconic Love Island phrases of all time... CHALDISH.

Michael also appeared on Celebrity Ex on the Beach in 2020, alongside fellow Love Island stars Charlie Brake and Georgia Harrison.

Since then, Michael has been “trusting the process” and working on himself. He posted a hunky, body transformation to his Instagram – and it really is a thing of beauty.

Not that Michael didn’t look fit already, but this look has definitely got us flustered.

Michael shared snaps of his body "before" and "after" - with a caption: “Trust the process.”

Elaborating on his transformation on his Instagram story, Michael, or Mac to his nearest and dearest explained, "From playing basketball in 2015 at 63kg - banging weight currently 90kg... consistency is key."

Yewande Biala and George Rains were not even in the villa at the same time but outside they seem to be having a whale of a time. Fans were buzzing in August when the Casa Amor star appeared to have Yewande's makeup all over his face.

When he was in the villa, ex-firefighter Michael was often seen in the gym, working out with his fellow contestants. The girls would often gather on the sunbeds to watch the boys work out. We enjoyed that bit too, girls.

Now, it looks like Michael is taking care of himself. He’s ditched firefighting and is now focusing on being a fitness coach. Wowsers.

Michael’s presence on Instagram consists of cool holiday snaps or cheeky pictures of him in the gym.

Keep ‘em coming, Griffiths.

In other Love Island news, Michael's fellow 2019 Islander Anna Vakili recently sparked rumours she was launching a music career after she was pictured in a recording studio alongside her sister Mandi.

The sisters could be seen posing in front of some recording equipment in the snap, which Anna teasingly captioned, “Big announcement next week…can you guess what it is? 🚨”

Naturally, Anna’s followers began speculating that she could be recording music including one who wrote, “Come on don’t say you bringing out a tune???” However, others proposed that Anna and Mandi could be working on a podcast, with one commenting, “You and Mandi have got your own podcast? ❤️”.

Well, whatever the Vakili sisters are working on, we can't wait to hear it.
