Love Island star and social media sensation Molly-Mae Hague has always kept it real, whether that be allowing fans into her relationship with boyfriend Tommy Fury, who she met on the show, or her decision last year to dissolve her lip fillers and have composite bonding on her teeth removed.

Molly-Mae Hague stop normalising filler

In a new interview with Cosmopolitan, Molly-Mae has spoken frankly about her decision to get fillers when she was just 17 years old, admitting that she "never thought of herself as insecure, but I must have been to do that".

Following her success on Love Island, Molly, now 22, admitted that as her following grew (to over 5.5million), so did her awareness of the effect cosmetic enhancements have on young girls who are following her.

In October 2020, Molly-Mae spoke honestly about her journey to regain her natural appearance, dissolving her lip fillers and having the composite bonding on her teeth removed.

Now, she's spoke out to address the "normalisation" of filler procedures.

She said, “We need to stop normalising filler, with things like ‘Kylie Jenner [surgery] packages’. I was 17 when I first got my lips done, and it scares me to think that if I have a daughter in 10 years’ time, what it might be like for her.

"I sometimes forget how young my followers are, too. I’m often surprised by the fact some of the girls in my DMs even have a phone.”

Big twist in store for Love Island 2021 😱

Molly-Mae also opened up about her relationship with boxer boyfriend Tommy and accusations that her feelings didn’t come across as "genuine" whilst on the summer series of Love Island in 2019.

“I do believe we’re soulmates,” the reality star and influencer says. “My parents love him. We’re cringey and mushy, and I like it like that. We know we’re going to be together forever. People speculate that we break up all the time – if Tommy doesn’t like one of my pictures on Instagram, I get DMs asking about it. But we’re so content, like two peas in a pod.”
