The insider went on to tell The Sun, that Rita is "[throwing] herself back into work" to distract from the aftermath of her flouting COVID restrictions.

Last month, the 30 year old was caught with more than 30 pals, including TOWIE's Vas Morgan, sneaking into a back entrance of a venue in London where the group were ringing in Rita's birthday.

Since then, the Let You Love Me singer was papped on a walk with her father, Besnik Sahatçiu, who was apparently "[stepping] in" to discuss Rita's actions the previous month.

Now, following a "ticking off" from her parents, Rita is abroad and according to the insider, "working on her music and [...] hoping to return with new tracks in early 2021."

"She [...] has booked a relaxing holiday over Christmas and New Year in the hope she can start afresh in January. Taking some time out to reflect on everything that has happened is very important to her right now," they said.

Rita publicly apologised for her actions during lockdown 2.0 and took to social media to tell fans that she was "deeply sorry" for putting people at risk.

She said, "I attended a small gathering with some friends to celebrate my 30th birthday. It was a spur of the moment decision made with the misguided view that we were coming out of lockdown and this would be OK...

"This was a serious and inexcusable error of judgement. Given the restrictions, I realise how irresponsible these actions were and I take full responsibility."

Following her apology, Rita voluntarily paid a £10,000 fine to the council.
