As the youngest son of Posh and Becks, Cruz Beckham was always going to be a hit with the girls. And last week, lots of female teenage hearts were broken when he went official with his girlfriend.
The 16-year-old aspiring singer was pictured hand-in-hand with Bliss Chapman at Reading Festival, after quietly dating for around a year, and it turns out she has quite the A-list connections.
Bliss is the daughter of former model and celebrity nutritionist Rosemary Ferguson and artist Jake Chapman, and was a flower girl for Kate Moss when she married Jamie Hince in 2011. So, it’s no surprise that Cruz’s mum Victoria is very impressed with her son’s choice of girl.
“Vic is thrilled that Cruz is with Bliss and thinks it’s a good thing for him. She had feared he would be out dating new girls every week, as he’s always been the ‘wild’ one,” our insider says.
The source adds, “Cruz has always had lots of girls chasing him, and Vic’s happy that he’s with someone who’s his best friend, rather than him thinking it’s a great idea to play the field . Plus, Bliss is one of her friend’s daughters, so she knows her already. She’d very much like to see Cruz settle into a relationship nice and early – she thinks it will be good for him.”

Victoria, 47, has been close to Bliss’ mum Rose for years and loves the fact her son’s girlfriend is from a successful and happy family. “Bliss’ mum is someone who Vic really rates,” we’re told.
“She has always been in awe of Rose, who was one of the coolest party-girl models back in the day. And when she married Jake, they quickly became renowned for being the hippest couple in town. Now Rose is a wellness guru, and Vic very much admires her still-cool life – she hangs out with everyone. Cruz and Bliss have been ‘together’ for a year now, so it’s something they’ve had a giggle about – and Bliss is friends with all the Beckhams’ other kids, too.”

Victoria – who is also mum to Brooklyn, 22, Romeo, 19, and ten-year-old Harper with David – is pleased that Cruz seems to have learned from Brooklyn’s earlier mistakes with girls before he got engaged to Nicola Peltz, as well as admiring Romeo’s long-term relationship with his model girlfriend Mia Regan.
“Victoria and David went through a nightmare with Brooklyn and were seriously worried about him – there was always drama going on and lots of break-ups,” our source says. “But then Romeo was so different – and so was Brooklyn once he met Nicola. Cruz saw all of that unfold, too, so she’s hoping he learned the lesson early. Vic’s always tried to drill it into her boys’ heads about how to treat women, and she’s very open about the experiences she went through in her life before she met David. She feels they’ve done a great job with the boys and just wants them to happy.”
