Don't ask us how we've been coping since Big Brother ended because, honestly, we haven't. Weeks after the final, we're still clinging on by keeping a close eye on the housemates' socials, surveying the podcast sphere for interviews and even rewatching old episodes on ITVX (we know that's sad – we used to watch them sleep on E4 in the middle of the night back in the day, too).
While we're on that note, can someone with influence please bring back Dead Set and theme it around this year's Vampires vs Villagers shopping task? Please and thank you.
As per, we digress. Anyway, during our daily stalk for fresh Big Brother 2024 content we stumbled across an episode of the Reality with Will podcast featuring none other than Big Brother 2024 icon of icons Hanah Haji and to say the tea was spilled would be an understatement.
Naturally, the gossip steered to one of the biggest storylines of the series – Hanah's relationship with fellow housemate Segun Shodipo.
A little recap in case you need a reminder; basically, Hanah and Segun grew close from day dot, and while both stressed that the relationship was nothing more than platonic (citing their differing religions and Segun having a love interest on the outside as the reasons), 'flirty banter' did play a serious part in the development of this friendship.
Then, of course, it all came crashing down when Hanah got a voice message from her friends on the outside who warned her to be wary of Segun. Despite the awkward atmosphere formed as a result, they remained friends for the rest of the series, but the relationship came to a screeching halt at the final when hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best showed her a scene of Segun talking about her behind her back.
During her appearance on the podcast, host Will Njobvu reminded Hanah of Segun's comments about how she comes to him in the house, not the other way around, and it's safe to say our girl has thoughts on this - as well as no intention to reach out to him IRL, apparently...
Hanah revealed that she felt 'very much hurt' after watching Segun's comments back, adding, 'When you're watching it back for the first time and seeing how someone speaks about you, [someone] you considered as a dear friend in the house, trying to make it out that you're consistently going to them, flirting with them, when really and truly the dynamics in the house are you can't get away from people.'
She continued, 'It really did hurt me and I really did get irritated because I gave you the opportunity to tell the truth.'
Revealing how she feels about her former friend, she confessed, 'We were close. I didn't have my girls there to tell me in depth what was actually going on.' Then when asked if she plans to speak to him and make amends, she commented, 'No, I don't plan to.'
'I haven't spoken to him at all,' she continued, adding that he has not tried to reach out or apologise to her since.
Hanah then closed the conversation with a collection of words we plan to get printed on T-shirt, pillows and mugs. She said, 'Public disrespect equals public apology. That's how I see it as being, public disrespect equals public apology.'
