A monumental part of the new Celebrity Big Brother's popularity is without a doubt the dangerous amount of tea Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne have been spilling all over Big Brother's floor. While Sharon's time as a Celebrity Lodger has come to end, Louis's mouth is certainly still running and no one is safe.
Since entering the CBB house on Monday 4 March 2024, Louis has spilled savage tea on the likes of Jedward, Ronan Keating, Simon Cowell and Gary Barlow and while many fans have been cleaning up every drop, some have found it uncomfortable viewing at times.
Ripping the plaster off: generally, the audience (and some of his housemates) see him as lazy, b*tchy and blunt (and if you've seen those responses from Jedward you'll know they'd probably add a few more choice words to that list), but great f**king telly.
However, according to recent evictee and Louis's mate, The Real Housewives of Cheshire's Lauren Simon, the CBB audience aren't seeing the real Louis and are mistaking bitchiness for a dry sense of humour (sometimes). In a recent conversation with heatworld, Lauren went in to great detail about her friendship with the former X Factor judge, revealing that she was "surprised" by how much she liked him.
She said, "I was so surprised. I mean, he did say to me at the beginning to get off his bed. And then he said to me, 'I didn't think I was gonna like to you. I really didn't want to meet you' kind of thing. He [then] said. 'I adore you.'
"So I was really surprised at the connection me and Louis had because when I walked in he was the last person I thought I'd be sleeping next to, waving [at] in the middle of the night, making cups of tea and getting in bed with...and then sitting in a bin with Louis Walsh.'"
Discussing Louis' humour and perhaps misjudged shade, Lauren revealed, "He's so fun, he's just very dry. But he says it to your face – he's just so funny."
She continued, "I was so shocked [with what] he was saying about Jedward, calling him them 'vile' – I couldn't believe he was saying that. He wasn't like that was me. Honestly, he was really, really fun – a dry sense of humour, Ricky Gervais sense of humour."
Naturally, we had to ask Lauren how she thinks Louis is going to cope in the house without her and Sharon mopping up his scalding tea-spillages on a regular basis and she revealed that he will be leaning on Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu – who has come under fire for her OnlyFans comments – now.
She predicted, "I think he'll be hanging around Ekin-Su because he really has a connection with her. I mean, I think he would marry her if he could, I think he fancies the pants off her."
"I think Louis is quite adaptable. And he'll get on with the boys a bit more. I think what happened is you kind of get used to the people you're with and are in your comfort zone, so you don't have to make an effort to speak to everyone else. Now he'll probably enjoy mentoring the boys like he did with me. I'm not worried for Louis Walsh."
We think that was an X Factor joke made by Lauren there, but frankly, we're still not over that "fancies the pants off her" comment.
Maybe we'll go for another walk around the office...
