They said it would never last. And they were f*cking right; Big Brother 2024 lovers Nathan King and Rosie Williams have officially called it quits on their three-month-long romance and we feel like we now owe personal apologies to both Rosie's dad and Big Brother 2023 winner Jordan Sangha. They both had serious doubts about the relationship while the series was still on, while we were blissfully and ignorantly manifesting for them to become the next Grace Adams-Short and Mikey Dalton whether they wanted to or not.

According to Daily Mail Online, Nathan has confirmed that the couple has split 'amicably' deciding they're 'better off as friends' three months after first getting together on Big Brother 2024.

The couple sparked rumours of a split when Rosie was notably absent from Nathan's trip to Manchester to meet Big Brother pals Emma Morgan and Sarah Griffiths over the Valentine's weekend. Then we clocked that it was the Valentine's weekend (we obv had zero plans) and assumed the worst for the Scottish pork salesman.

The former couple met in the Big Brother house in October 2024 and quickly struck up a romance, one that many viewers and many of their housemates never saw coming. Despite speculation that the unforeseen relationship was a 'showmance', the couple remained joined at the hip after leaving the house for three months; posting pictures and videos of cute dates and trips to one another's hometowns over the Christmas period on their socials.

During their time in the house, some viewers questioned the authenticity of Nathan’s feelings for Rosie (including Big Brother 2023 winner Jordan Sangha - watch the TikTok below and prepare for the shade), but Nathan maintained that he was not faking his feelings.

He said, ‘When it came out and it was mentioned about a showmance, I just thought, “Well, that’s mad." I don’t know how that’s been looked at like that, you don’t just think about that. I’m not great at talking about my feelings, especially when I’m on the bloody telly, but things have obviously been misconstrued that I don’t feel anything. Clearly we both do and we’re enjoying spending time together, it’s been great. I’m really happy, as is she.

‘It’s really given me a different perspective of reality TV, because I’d have said like, “How can you love someone after three weeks of knowing them?” But you’re with them all the time. If you’re dating someone on the outside, you’d see them maybe a couple of hours on a Saturday night and a couple of hours during the week, but we spent 24/7 together for five weeks. I meant everything I said about her, as did she and we’re really happy. She makes me laugh more than anyone ever has done and I do love her, a million and ten per cent.'

Sausage and mash will never be the same again.

Think about that because it's hilarious.
