Love Island’s Biggs Chris reveals the REAL reason for Rebecca Gormley split

Love Island’s Biggs Chris has spoken out for the first time since his ex-girlfriend Rebecca Gormley confirmed they’ve split to reveal the real reason they called time on their relationship after a year of dating.

Although the former couple met on the first ever winter series of the ITV2 show last year, they didn’t actually couple up until they were both dumped from the villa.

Biggs and Rebecca went from strength to strength on the outside world and even had plans to move in together and get married after sparking pregnancy rumours but, sadly, it just wasn’t meant to be.

“We broke up because we want different things. Rebecca’s more of a party girl, but I want a family and business and just to work work work,” Biggs told The Sun.

“I want that ‘couple goals’ life where we both work hard together and build an amazing family.”

He continued, “I didn’t want this to happen obviously, because we were planning on buying a place together this year and had spoken about having kids together.

“But it had to happen. It’s the right thing to do for me and her.”

Although they’re no longer an item, Biggs revealed he’s still in contact with Rebecca and that there’s no hard feelings between them.

He said, “We didn’t end badly at all. She’s my home girl. We FaceTime now and again.

“I have so much love for her and her family, especially her mum, we had so much fun.”

Rebecca announced she and Biggs had split earlier this week as she took part in an Instagram Q&A with fans.

When one of her followers asked, “Have you split up with Biggs? x,” she replied, “Everyone is asking is this question and the reason why I haven’t told you any sooner is that I wanted to make sure I was doing the right thing.

“And it is the best thing for us so yeah, we have broke up.”

Her post came after fans began speculating they were on the rocks as they weren’t pictured together on social media since July when they were seen with fellow Islander Luke Mabbott and his girlfriend Lucie Donlan.
