These days it’s not unusual for Love Island contestants to have links to former Islanders. Case in point, Love Island 2025 bombshell Billykiss Azeez.
Shortly after Billykiss entered the villa, reports that she’d previously been in a relationship with Love Island 2022 finalist Dami Hope surfaced online.
You know we had to get the tea from Billykiss and when she paid us a visit at heat Towers earlier this week, we did exactly that. You’re welcome.
Setting the record straight, Billykiss exclusively told heat, ‘Okay, so Dami is not my ex. I am not his ex.
‘Yes, we did date a couple of years ago and we didn’t work out for various reasons, but since then we were able to maintain a good friendship.’
She added, ‘Me and Dami run a business together. We run entertainment and parties in Dublin.’
When asked if he gave her any advice before she entered the villa, Billykiss said, ‘Prior to the villa, I did not tell him I was going in so it was kind of a shock for him.
‘But obviously, he’s texted me since and I can’t remember what he said, but he just said something like… you know Dami, cheeky and funny.’
Billykiss spent a lot of her time in the villa getting to know Cach Mirjah Mercer, although they never quite managed to get their romance off the ground. There’s been some speculation online that Cach is friends with Dami and didn’t want to go there with his pal's former flame, but Billykiss basically put those rumours to bed.
‘I don’t know if Cach and Dami are friends, we never spoke about Dami so I don’t know if this information is true or false,’ she explained.
‘I guess I’ll ask him when he comes out of the villa, or do you know what? I’ll just ask Dami. I’ll find out, but I don’t think it’s true because I’m from Dublin and naturally when you meet a Black person from Ireland, you’ll ask them, “Oh, do you know this person? Do you know that person?” and he never ever brought Dami up.’
