We always had high hopes for the Love Island recoupling after Casa Amor, but last night's brutal episode genuinely left us with our jaw on the floor.
From Ayo Odukoya recoupling and leaving Mimii Ngulube single to Wil Anderson revealing he hasn’t been quite as loyal to Uma Jammeh as she first thought, there was just drama after drama after drama.
Someone who was definitely involved in her fair share of the dramz was Casa Amor bombshell Diamanté Laiva, who had an awkward run-in with Matilda Draper and Sean Stone after he decided to stick with Matilda despite playing tonsil tennis with Diamanté just hours before.
Following her exit from the villa, Diamanté has revealed exactly how she feels and has even called out one Islander for not being genuine.
When asked whether she was surprised not to be picked in the recoupling, Diamanté said, “I actually was, when Sean was giving his speech he said he was confused, and he was saying he found connections in Casa and as he was saying that I was thinking, ‘are we about to couple up?’
“I think he chose the safe option to stick with Matilda.”
Taking another savage swipe, she added, “He’s perhaps not as genuine as we all thought he was…”
It all kicked off between Sean, Matilda and Diamanté at the fire pit immediately after he made his decision, when the Casa bombshell quipped, “It's a bit weird how you can tell someone they're your priority and this is how you treat your priority."
Matilda then fired back, “You're not sat here, babe,” leaving host Maya Jama in shock.
“You can have him, it's fine, because he's just going to do the same thing to you,” Diamanté replied, with Matilda hitting back again, “Cool, cool, cool. I'm sat here."
The row left fans divided, with some branding Matilda a “villain” in the wake of the recoupling.
One took to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, “Matilda is nasty!!!!! She’s so vile!!! Even Maya’s looking at her crazy."
Another remarked, “Wtf is wrong with Matilda, she’s such a nasty vile spirit,” however, others were very much Team Matilda.
The drama isn’t even over as tonight’s episode (Friday 5 July) sees Matilda and Diamanté come face-to-face to discuss what really happened in Casa Amor. Bring it on…
