It’s fair to say that Love Island legend Ekin-Su’s stint in the Celebrity Big Brother house didn’t work out the way we all thought it would, with the reality star facing backlash after a couple of questionable moments and becoming the fourth housemate to be evicted.
The drama caused her to take a break from the limelight but, not only is she back, she’s revealed an exciting new career move.
Just weeks after teasing a return to acting, Ekin-Su has announced she’s releasing a book called Be Your Own Best Friend.
Speaking about the reasons behind her latest move , Ekin-Su told her followers, “Ironically I’m a bit of a closed book and sometimes a little misunderstood, so I want to take ownership of my story and write a book.
“The good, the bad and the things that nobody knows about.”
She added, “In the book, I want to take you on the rollercoaster of my life through the high and the lows, and the things I’ve learned about life.”
In the book, which has been called “an honest and uplifting guide to life”, Ekin will “reveal the hard-won lessons that have made her the person she is today.”
“Vulnerable, authentic, and packed with never heard before stories, readers will get to understand the woman behind the headlines and filters,” the book’s publishers wrote on Instagram.
“It’s time to get acquainted with the real Ekin-Su as she shares her story, in her own words.”
Ekin’s followers rushed to the comments section to congratulate her, including one who wrote, “Proud of you! Can’t wait to read 🤍.” Another added, “I’m so buying this. Congratulations EKIN SU WILL COME THROUGH ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️,” while a third commented, “I feel like this is going to be wild 😂😂👏.”
Back in April, Ekin-Su returned to social media and admitted her time on Celebrity Big Brother had made her realise she’d “lost” herself following her split from Davide Sanclimenti.
She wrote, “Haven’t felt myself for a long time, and I’ve realised I had kind of lost myself and for a while didn’t know who I was beyond being defined by ex-relationships or TV shows, and that needs to change!
“I am so excited for all the growth and full healing. CBB was the final lightbulb moment to make me realise what needs to be done.”
