They were the first Love Island casualty from this year's finalists; but sadly, after rumours of infidelity, Yasmin Pettet and Jamie Rhodes called time on their romance.
It has been a few weeks since their dalliance came to an end and now the Love Island 2025 lad is opening up about their split and the reason behind the break-up.
Jamie was a guest on the podcast of former Love Island duo, Jessie Wynterand Will Young (who fought all the odds to become one of the only successful couples from their season) and they chatted all things dating and show-related.
'It was a weird feeling. Obviously, it wasn’t a nice feeling,' he admitted when the couple asked about the rumours surrounding him and Yas, prior to announcing they had split. 'Some stuff people were saying I knew wasn’t true, it was unfair as well.'
'It was a little bit frustrating; you want to do stuff in your own way and own time, and you don’t want to be forced,' he went on, 'it was probably coming to the time we were going to announce something anyway.'
The duo were forced to confirm they were no longer an item after Yas was accused of 'cheating' on Jamie with The Traitors star, Freddie Fraser.
'While this storm was going on, we were laughing and joking with each other. It was crazy to see this unravelling; we both knew it wasn’t true,' he added.
Chatting about the reason behind the relationship not working and who started the conversation, Jamie, ever the gentleman, refrained from placing blame.
'It just didn’t elevate; we were super busy,' he confessed, 'it was pretty mutual.'
'I asked the question, I was catching a hint,' he explained, 'it wasn't going to go anywhere. It was a tough decision to come to but we both had clear, open communication about it.'
We can one hundred percent believe that; Yas and Jamie were praised by viewers for their mature conversations when they found themselves at logger heads in the villa.
