Love Island 2021 icon Liberty Poole is all about those Ghosts/Islanders of Christmas Past this festive season.

Not only did Liberty recently meet up with her villa girlies Kaz Kamwi, Abi Rawlings, Sharon Gaffka, and Faye Winter for more Porn star martinis than we've ever seen EVER (okay, lies), but it appears she recently ran into one of her season's beaut boys, too.

And, no, it's not who you're thinking of.

Liberty Poole and Aaron Simpson were pictured in London together this week

Liberty shared a festive snap with none other than 2021 bombshell Aaron Simpson (who famously boomeranged in and out of the villa in just ten days last year). Remember, Aaron? No? He was that cutie footballer who was brutally 'ghosted' by Mary Bedford after they were both dumped from the villa at the same time.

Liberty posted the snap of the two together after running into each other in Leicester Square this week. She captioned the Story, "Guys look who I randomly bumped in to 😂 good to see you @aaronsimpsonn 🫶🏽."

Aaron then shared the snap to his own Story, writing, "What's the chances 🤣 Always a pleasure 🤝🏽."

We love do love a Love Island reunion – especially one that gives us all those early '00s footballer and WAG vibes we oh so miss.

Who is Aaron Simpson dating?

Earlier this summer, we reported that the footballer had finally found love with a Mary Bedford doppelgänger called Jessica Lowe.

It's safe to say this bombshell has a type...

He has been dating Jess, who is a swimwear designer, since the start of the year but has kept their romance relatively low profile.

Aaron told The Sun, the pair met at a Halloween party last year, a few months after Aaron revealed that he had been 'ghosted' and 'friend-zoned' by Mary after their time on the ITVBe show.

He said, "It's early days still and we're not rushing anything, but we see a lot of each other and get on really well.

"She's a swimwear designer and has her own brand so she's really busy and ambitious, which is very attractive."

Aaron also commented on her likeness to Mary, admitting, "It's funny, we were actually talking about it and Jess actually isn't my usual type.

"When we met we just clicked, we were lucky."

With that being said, Aaron hasn't posted about Jess since those reports started doing the rounds this summer. Jess last posted a snap of her and Aaron together just over three months ago, with the caption, "Smiles all round 🔐."

So, yeah... At this point, your guess is as good as ours.

Who is Aaron Simpson?

Aaron is a footballer turned reality star who is most known for being a bombshell on the 2021 series of Love Island.

How old is Aaron Simpson?

Aaron is from Kent and is 25 years old.

What happened with Aaron Simpson and Mary Bedford?

After coupling up in the last weeks of Love Island 2021, Mary and Aaron were dumped a few days before the final. Despite leaving together, Mary appeared to put Aaron very firmly in the friend zone on Aftersun as soon as they got back to the UK.

When asked by Laura Whitmore what the future held for their relationship Mary said, “I think we’re just gonna go home, when we’re back in the real world again and things are more normal. We’re going to see how it goes, but I’ve definitely made a best friend in here.” Bit savage.

The feeling didn’t seem to be mutual however, with Aaron seemingly keen to pursue something with Mary who said, “I knew my head was firmly on Mary and it was a whirlwind experience.”

A few months later, Aaron revealed that Mary had 'ghosted' his messages. He was later linked to Married At First Sight star Amy Christophers.

What does Aaron Simpson do as a job?

He's still a footballer but he's also an influencer on the side. He's recently started his own business venture, Aaron's Health Hub, where he helps people 'get healthy and happier'.

Speaking about his career before going on Love Island, he said, "I started playing when I was about four or five. I signed my first professional contract when I was 17. I’m 24 so it’s been quite a journey."
