Love Island breaks silence on ‘deleted X-rated’ Liam and Millie scene

Love Island bosses have been forced to speak out after it was claimed that they had to cut a scene from the show as it was too explicit.

Last week, viewers saw Liam Reardon and Millie Court win a trip to the Hideaway after winning the Spit the Roast challenge and, although Millie donned a sexy nurses’ outfit to give Liam a back rub, the couple kept things relatively PG… or so we thought.

It was later reported that Liam and Millie’s night was actually a lot raunchier but producers were resigned to leaving the scenes on the cutting room floor due to their X-rated nature.

An alleged TV insider told The Sun, “They romped over the bed covers and it went on for ages. The footage was quite explicit and producers were miffed because they couldn’t air any of it.

“Millie spent a long time straddling Liam and stripped off her nurse’s outfit.

“It meant that the footage had to be cut cleverly for broadcast and video editors had to get creative.”

However, a spokesperson for the ITV2 dating show has rubbished the claims in a statement.

They insisted, “This is completely untrue."

Whether or not they’ve done the horizontal hokey cokey, things are clearly getting serious for Liam and Millie so it’s a good thing that he’s received the seal of approval from her mum Esme.

“They seem like they’ve got a great connection. I think as people, they seem like they’re having a right laugh. It’s all quite light-hearted. It’s obvious there is a massive connection there – a lot of sexual tension. You can see by the way she looks at him she’s quite smitten,” she told The Sunday People.

This all comes after it was revealed that Islanders can only have sex in the villa on one condition – they have to take and pass an STD test.

Speaking about having sex in the villa, former contestant Marcel Somerville told the Mirror, "It's definitely down to the cast members.

"If you do want to do it then by all means do it. The show provides the necessary protection, so just be safe.

"The show does do strict testing beforehand just to make sure that everyone going on there is clean. They do quite a few tests to make sure you're clean and safe."
