It hasn't been the greatest start to 2019 for Love Island 2018 star Megan Barton-Hanson. After she was spotted looking a little bored as she watched her boyfriend Wes Nelson on Dancing On Ice, Megan then laid into Wes' professional partner Vanessa Bauer, and now she's revealed she was rushed to hospital earlier in the week.

Following her appearance on Loose Women last week, Megan has taken to her Instagram page to reveal she's suffered a bladder infection, which later spread to her kidneys. Sharing a photo of her hospital tag, the reality star wrote, 'Don't ignore a bladder infection it WILL spread to your kidneys never been so ill in my life.' [sic]

The model also shared a video of some lovely flowers and card from her parents, writing, 'My parents are the best. Nothing worse than being away from your family when you're poorly thank you.' [sic]

Although Megan is now home and recovering from the illness, it's not clear whether she will be attending tonight's National Television Awards alongside Wes, with Love Island nominated for The Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award.
