Firstly, can we just confess something a tad basic? We are truly obsessed that one of our new summer Love Island obsessions is called Patsy. Fabulous name, sweetie, darling. Fabulous.
But – if you're of a certain age and/or just chaotically camp like us – scrap any image of a cougar bombshell with a bleach blonde 90s beehive from your minds, and instead picture a smiley, stunning, real-life Little Mermaid who is friends with a downright iconic All Stars finalist.
As it turns out, Love Island 2024's Patsy is very good friends with Lili Piper, who is Love Island 2020 icon Sophie Piper's (and Rochelle Humes') sister. While Patsy admits the girls are all very good friends, she recently told reporters that she didn't actually tell any of the sisters about her Love Island signing, and thus, hasn't turned to Sophie for any veteran Islander advice. But why?
Patsy revealed, "I am friends with Lili. And obviously I know Sophie through being Lili's sister and I love Sophie. They're both such lovely girls. And they didn't actually know that I was coming on [the show]. They didn't even know that I was in talks or anything. So I'm sure it was a surprise to them. But yeah, no, it would have been good to get some tips wouldn't it, but I was trying to just keep it to myself as much as possible. And I'm sure it's been quite a shock to a few friends I have."
To be fair, we get it; those ITV NDAs are the stuff of nightmares.
Patsy added, "[Lili and Sophie] are definitely going to be supporting me, I can imagine. And probably, yeah, Sophie's just ready to pass on the baton and be like, 'Right, hey, it's your turn now.'"

Speaking of her disability prior to entering the villa, Patsy said, "I’ve got something very special about me which is my disability, it’s a condition I was born with called Erb's Palsy. It doesn't define who I am , but it makes me a little different, although I’ve learnt to get on with it and it’s never held me back."
Erb's Palsy affects the nerves and muscles in the neck, shoulder, and arms and it often the result of a traumatic injury.
