Love Island is finally back on our screens, which means we’ll be getting to know loads of brand new Islanders over the next eight weeks.
Not only that, but they’ll be getting to know each other, too; spending every waking (and sleeping) moment of the day cooped up inside that villa. As such, you would have thought that the Islanders will want to use every trick in the book to get on the good side of their new housemates, but that isn’t the case for all of them.
Outside of the villa, Samantha Kenny plies her trade as a make-up artist, but she’s admitting she won’t be giving the other girls a full glam look in the evenings.
Speaking to us shortly before she entered the villa, Sam said, “Don’t get me wrong, I’ll do a few tweakments here and there. I’ll help someone put a lash on, but you know, I’m on holiday as well.
“It’s my experience and we only get a set amount of time to get ready, so I’m sorry, I’ll be getting myself ready before I’ll be getting anyone else ready, as selfish as it sounds. I want to look the best, so you know.”
We appreciate the honesty, tbh.
But although she won’t be beating their faces, Sam has admitted she is looking forward to getting to know the girls while they get ready.
“I can't wait for I can't wait for when the sun's going down and all the girls are getting ready in the dressing room. I can't wait for like, the little things. They’re the things I’m looking forward to,” she said.
Sam, a self-proclaimed “girls’ girl”, also told us that she’s hoping to stay on good terms with the girls all summer – but knowing Love Island like we know Love Island, we don’t think that will be the case.
She said, “I’ve got a lot of friends, I’ve got no enemies so I feel like I’m a liked person. I’m a girls’ girl and I work in a salon full of girls, we all get along amazing.
“I want to get on with everyone, but I’m northern so I will voice my opinion if need be.”
