While there are always Islanders that slay the Love Island game during their time in the villa – this year, that award has to go to Joey Essex, Uma Jammeh, Harriett Blackmore and Mimii Ngulube – others choose to play the game in their own way and at their own pace.
In the case of Love Island 2024 bombshell Konnor Ewudzi, it's safe to say that hasn't exactly worked out.
Although he's currently getting to know new bombshell Lolly Hart, the Cornwall barber has struggled to form a single strong connection amongst the girls this summer and as such, the unthinkable has happened – he's been culled from the edit on more than one occasion this series.
Whom amongst us hasn't tuned in to Love Island this year and asked their partner (who is reluctantly watching the show with them), "Where the eff is Konnor?"
With lots of other juicy storylines playing out inside those villa walls, we get it, if Konnor's journey isn't giving, then we're not getting; which is disappointing, as not only is the man a solid 10/10 in the everything department, but we've been told by more than one Islander that he is an absolute gent and a true gem to all the girls in the villa, which clearly hasn't gone unnoticed as he was proposed to more times than we can actually recall during the Snog, Marry, Pie challenge.
This can't just be a case of 'nice guys finish last', can it? Because that theory is dated and utter cr*p, quite frankly.
So, when we were sat face to face with two Islanders who know Konnor very well earlier this week – Uma and Wil Anderson – we just had to get their take on him and his Love Island journey.
Wil exclusively revealed to heatworld that he believes Konnor is yet to find a connection because he's "quiet" and doesn't "lay it on" thick enough in the villa, but he stressed that he admires Konnor for being authentic and apologetically who he is on the show.
Wil told us, "Konnor is a really, really nice, kind guy. Quiet. I don't think he's got the most luck with other girls. I just don't know if that's the way he is. I kept telling him to lay it on thick, he said, 'I'm not changing, that's just who I am, I'm not changing for the show', which I get, but I feel like people were getting to the other girls [first] because he was taking so long.
"But, if that's the way he moves, then that's the way he moves. But, really, really nice guy."
Uma added, "Konnor is so lovely, he's so nice. He cares about everyone's feelings in the villa, and he's just a really easy person to talk to."
Well, here's hoping Lolly is the right person for our Konnor, but we have a feeling even if he leaves the villa single, he'll do just fine. Call it a hunch.
heatworld had a similar conversation about Konnor with Harriett and Ronnie Vint a couple of weeks back, where they revealed what the bombshell is really like and it's safe to say we haven't seen this.
