One queen who will definitely be bringing the heat this summer is Islander Harriett Blackmore and despite not even entering the villa yet, she has already got tongues seriously wagging.
Since ITV announced Harriett as an OG, rumours of a 'secret boyfriend' IRL have beem rife, but during a sit down with UK media, she confirmed that those rumours were just that, rumours. According to the Islander, she broke up with her ex in January, meaning that right now, she's a single Pringle and ready to mingle.
Harriett confirmed, "I broke up recently with my boyfriend in January, so about four months ago. And we've remained in contact because obviously we were together for such a long time, and the break up was quite out of the blue. So I think we both had questions; we both wanted closure in that sort of sense.
"A lot of our lives was with each other. So we remained in contact, but I definitely don't have a boyfriend. He's moved on with someone else. Just to clear that up, we broke up in January."
When asked why they split, Harriett replied, "There wasn't a big event or anything that happened. He went away with his friends skiing, and then he came back and kind of broke up with me, but at the time, he was travelling away for work a lot. So I wasn't really seeing him. There wasn't really anything major that happened. It was just out of the blue."
That's all well and good, but let's be real, there's still every chance Harriett broke up with her boyfriend earlier this year when she found out Love Island was on the cards – and who could blame her? We reckon she certainly wouldn't be the first Islander to do so, would she? We're not stating that as fact, we're just thinking out loud, before anyone comes for us...
