Podcasting powerhouses Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo have never lacked candour, particularly when it comes to dishing the dirt on married life in their Newlyweds pod.

Nail-biting lie detector tests, fertility talk, fiery fallouts on the airwaves – you name it, they’ve done it.

But radio DJ Jamie really scaled up the forthrightness recently by shedding a blindingly bright light on his sex life with Sophie, revealing in a hilarious admission that he’s become “lazy” in the bedroom.

Speaking to The Sun On Sunday, Jamie confessed, “Sophie did say I was bog standard at sex and that is probably a fair description. You get worse as you get married. I used to start doing joined-up handwriting, then I thought, ‘I can’t be bothered with that, as it’s quicker for me to not do it joined up’. I’m a bit like that in the bedroom. I don’t give up halfway, but I do remember that once, I rolled on top of Sophie and she said, ‘Oh, get on with it’.”

Jamie and Sophie’s relationship began on Made In Chelsea, and fans of the reality show were heavily invested in their will they/won’t they friendship, which blossomed into romance in 2019. From there, they said “I do” last April in an intimate registry office ceremony, before throwing a big bash in Marbella that May.

And Jamie, 35, also confessed that he and Sophie, 30, have been going to marriage therapy for hourly sessions twice a month. He revealed that he told his wife he thought it would be a “really good thing to do”, considering that “40 or 50 per cent of marriages end in divorce”.

You’ve just got to communicate forever, otherwise these things boil up. Going to therapy gives us the best chance of surviving this up-and-down life we’re going to have,” he shared, adding that he’s “learned lots of lessons”, and therapy has made him “calmer” with Sophie, who he described as the “kindest, most empathetic person I’ve ever met”.

As well as weighing in on the importance of saying sorry if you’re in the wrong – which he claimed to be “very good at” – Jamie shared his hope for starting a family, joking that he wants “so many kids”, they can drag him around the garden in a sleigh at Christmas.

He may want to up his intimacy game in that case.
