It’s been a pretty wild ride on Married At First Sight Australia this week after Sara Mesa was exposed for meeting her ex-boyfriend behind Tim Calwell’s back by Eden Harper and her on-screen husband Jayden Eynaud.
But if you thought Sara might be laying low and staying out of the drama after she was called out, you’d be wrong as it turns out she’s embroiled in a secret feud with another bride.
Viewers will have seen slight tension between Sara and Cassandra Allen on the show, but apparently things escalate and get seriously spiteful.
Insiders have told the So Dramatic! podcast that Cassandra “told Sara she thinks she’s so full of sh*t and called her a nasty b*tch”.
“They had never even had a conversation, it would just come out of nowhere,” they added.
One claimed Sara “fully lost her sh*t” with Cassandra. They explained, “Sara was so sick of Cass coming for her. At one dinner party, she absolutely loses it and calls Cass a c**t. She had just had enough.
“It wasn’t cool, but most of the cast could sympathise with her and understand why she said it.”
Another source told the podcast that the feud between Sara and Cassandra came about because of interference from producers.
They said, “It was obvious production was in [Cassandra’s] ear telling her to say stuff to Sara purely for airtime because Sara was a main character and Cass was so boring. It was so obvious what she was doing.”
The insider added, “She isn’t the sweet little angel that she portrayed during her wedding at all. She was always gunning for Sara for no good reason.”
Sara’s certainly been in the thick of the drama after Eden exposed her secret dinner date with her and although she insisted she didn’t cheat the time, the nutritionist-turned-reality star has since admitted to “emotionally cheating” on Tim.
“It’s definitely an emotional cheat. I definitely take on board that what I did was wrong and I think one of my major regrets was not being more apologetic and not consoling Tim right then and there,” Sara said during an appearance on Australian radio show Fitzy and Wippa with Kate Ritchie.
“I think in that moment, my heart came out of my ass a little and I was like, ‘Holy crap, I’m on national television. Everyone’s going to think I’m a cheater, and I didn’t cheat.’ So I think I went into defence mode, which obviously wasn’t the best thing to do. I obviously should have just apologised straight away but I felt absolutely caught off guard.”
