Even when Married at First Sight comes to an end, the bride and grooms are still at each other throats, often through social media, but still there's no rest for a jilted lover - or whatever the saying is.
This year's UK version of MAFSis no different and it turns out that not only are a certain former betrothed couple no longer in contact, one of them won't even attend the upcoming MAFS special.
Polly Sellman and Adam Nightingale had one of the most tumultuous times on the social experiment turned reality TV show and ended it very much NOT an item.
Since the show aired the two have made it very clear that they aren't pals, let alone an item, in fact Adam has been rumoured to be cozying up to a different bride, which we are sure Polly is thrilled about.
It now turns out that Polly won't be attending the upcoming televised reunion episode as 'she couldn't face seeing Adam again'.
A source told The Sun, 'She has worked really hard on herself and her mental health since filming, and couldn't bear the thought of reopening old wounds'.
There is no confirmed date of when the special will air, but apparently it's not just contestants from this year's season that will feature as Erica Roberts of MAFS 2023 is rumoured to be joining the cast.
'Polly didn't attend the filming of the recent special, which will air in 2025, as she couldn't face seeing Adam again,' the source went on. 'She didn't want to be put in a situation again where she might be cast in a negative light.'
