The latest series of Married At First Sight Australia is nearly coming to an end and we’re starting to find out which couples are still together after the experiment. Unsurprisingly, not a lot of them have made it.
But it’s not just the MAFS Australia 2025 couples that are going their separate ways as MAFS Australia 2024’s Tori Adams and Jack Dunkley announced they’d split last month.
The pair broke up just months after moving in together and now Tori has opened up about their split for the first time.
Speaking out about the reason they parted ways on the Confessions of a Reality Star podcast, Tori explained, ‘Jack and I just never got to that point of falling deeply in love with one another.
‘We put in the hard work. But at the end of the day, that was that. It wasn’t for lack of trying, we just figured out we’re really good friends.’
She added, ‘People, I think, are expecting this really juicy tea, someone did something really nasty to the other person and it’s just vile and it’s just not the case.’
Tori and Jack proved to be a controversial coupling during their time on the show, with their relationship dividing viewers, and she admitted she felt like she ‘validated’ the ‘naysayers’.
The reality star said, ‘All of those nasty vile people that wished us ill and had all of those nasty things to say about us and the naysayers – like we’ve effectively validated their sh*tty comments.’
And despite no longer being romantically involved, Tori and Jack are still living together.
‘We still go to the gym together, it might be confusing for some people, but not much has changed. It’s strange,’ she said.
Tori added that she and Jack are ‘the best of mates’ although they’re ‘no longer boyfriend and girlfriend’.
