We're only on day three of Married At First Sight Australia and one groom has already quit the show.
It was pretty clear that Eliot Donovan was going to be a character on MAFS Australia when he mentioned from the offset that if he didn't feel that instant spark with his wife then he'd leave the experiment... As in, as soon as she walked up the aisle.
Luckily, Eliot and Lauren Hall hit it off and the biggest hiccup on their wedding day was Lauren feuding with her sister. Fast forward to the next day though and it was pretty clear that Eliot had a change of heart after he told producers, 'There was definitely things on my non negotiable list that don't line up'.

Then on day three, he decided to quit the experiment and now he's spoken out about leaving the show, telling the Daily Mail, 'I left because I didn't find love. I was there to find love, and I didn't see a future with Lauren.
'Yeah, of all the reasons to leave, I think that's a pretty fair one. It wasn't because of anything physically wrong with her or anything like that.
'It was more just like a long-term thing, and I didn't want to go through the motions and fight with this person for three months just to milk the opportunity.'

Say what you want about Eliot but at least he's honest.
Eliot quitting the experiment comes after it came to light that Lauren dated MAFS 2024 groom Jono McCullough for three months before either of them took part in the experiment.
According to reports producers wanted to keep their connection under wraps and it's even been claimed that all photos of them has been removed from social media.
They've both moved on since then though with Jono now dating Ellie Dix (who starred on his series) and Lauren is on MAFS 2025.
