10 Halloween events to sink your (vampire) teeth into:
2019's Best Halloween events to attend
Halloween Ball at the Mansion - London
There's a big bash happening in a secret London location this October and it's gonna give The Haunted Mansion movie (starring Eddie Murphy) a run for its money. Fancy dress is compulsory and if you arrive before 10pm, you blood thirsty lot can benefit from 2-4-1 drinks. With three dancefloors and a cemetery outback, fire shows, seductive dancers, a clairvoyant and vintage horror movies flickering on the big screen, it's gonna be one helluva party.
Alcotraz - Brighton and London
You joked about how you'd both end up in cell together for something utterly ridiculous, but what if that became a reality? London-famous prison-themed bar, Alcotraz, has come to Brighton and they have a sentence for you and your pals on October 31st. This BYOB experience will start at Brighton's seafront and you'll need to smuggle a bottle of liquor past the guards before you reach the jail. Good cocktails are guaranteed, but what will happen behind bars on the most frightful night of the year?
Rocky Horror Halloween Singalong - London
Yeah, Hocus Pocus is great and all, but The Rocky Horror Picture Show? Now that's a movie. Go the whole hog for your favourite film this Halloween and attend this singalong screening at Aeronaut. Promising quizzes, games and prizes during the screening, it would be a murderous thing to miss it. Oh, and did we mention that a £30 ticket gets you bottomless prosecco for two hours?
London Month of the Dead - London
If you want to avoid covering your face in paint and donning terrible wigs this Halloween, we've got just the thing - but be warned, it's not for the faint-hearted. London Month of the Dead is a month-long extravaganza of talks and walks across London's famed cemeteries, and you can pick from a range of topics including lessons on how to get away with murder (yikes) all the way thorugh to learning the ins and outs on talking with the dead. Great Auntie Mary, that you?
Jägermeister Haunted Canal Cruise - London
Some say that Jäger bombs are the work of the devil… but we disagree. The herb-infused spirit has teamed up with Ladies and Gents (a bar that was once a public loo) for a killer experience this Halloween, and it will see you hopping aboard a phantom boat in Camden. Setting sail down London's canals, your £20 ticket will buy you two hours on the boat alongside two Jägermeister cocktails.
Cascada-ween - Edinburgh
It's happening. It's actually happening. The Three Sisters in Edinburgh are throwing an entire club night dedicated to Cascada this October, and it's appropriately called Cascada-ween. In between ordering themed shots and stuffing your face with street food to soak up that alcohol, you'll be treated to a live performance from the German singer. With big hits like Evacuate the Dancefloor and Everytime We Touch, you'll be dancing till you're dead.
The Bicentennial Vampyre Ball - London
2019 marks the 200th anniversary of John Polidori's The Vampyre, and even if this news means absolutely nothing to you, the details of The Bicentennial Vampyre Ball should. It's set to be one of this year's most impressive events, split into several different spooky areas. The Bloodlust Ballroom is where the mirrors show no reflection and as for The Theatre of the Undead? It doubles as Soho's largest roof garden flaunting vampire cabaret complete with hot wax performances, fire breathing and self immolation.
The Dark Circus Party - London
Overpriced candyfloss and pathetic juggling won't have a look in at this creepy circus. The Dark Circus Party is back for Halloween and it's a mega way to celebrate the most terrifying time of the year. You'll be sent the top secret location once you purchase your ticket (rumour has it that it's in East London) and the £35 price tag is more than worth it thanks to the line up of snake charmers, sideshow freaks and death-defying aerialists.
The Halloween Raveyard - London
The Vaults are responsible for some of London's most epic immersive parties and this Halloween they might have just outdone themselves. The Halloween Raveyard is urging you to join them in their underground lair this October for a spectacular party of the dead. Expect bizarre bands, zombie dance halls, feverish funerals, blood curdling cabaret and killer sets from devilish DJs.
Trapped in Wonderland - Manchester
Forget everything you thought you knew about Wonderland. It's been taken over by evil Alice this year in a bid to throw one epic Halloween bash, and you need to be there. Fancy dress is obviously compulsory, but don't worry - you'll fit right in between the crazy characters and performances promised on the night. Tickets include a Mad Hatter welcome cocktail between 11pm and 11.45pm too, so don't do a white rabbit and run late.
