What could be more festive than the Festive Stack?

McDonald's festive menu has been back in stores for a few weeks now and we are LOVING this year's Christmassy offerings.

The fast food super-chain has done away with some of its tried and tested menu items, like the beef and cheese feast and the Christmas chicken warmer and replaced them with the mighty Festive Snack and Crispy Chicken stack.

The stand out menu item, the Festive Stack is "two 100% British and Irish beef patties with a red onion relish, white cheese sauce, bacon, crispy onions, red onion, lettuce, cheddar cheese in a glazed brioche style bun."

Meanwhile the Crispy Chicken Stack, is, as the name suggests, "a chicken breast fillet in a crispy coating, cranberry sauce, sage & onion mayo, bacon, red onion, lettuce, cheddar cheese in a glazed poppy and sesame seed bun".

They're not the only mouthwatering festive offerings on the menu with the chains old faithfuls, cheese melt dippers and the Festive Pie (aka a classic Macca's apple pie-sized mince pie) returning to a store near you.

This year's McFlurry offering is a Celebrations one (seriously, could you get much more Christmassy?) and you can warm up with a Choco Fudge Latte or a Hot Chocolate Delux.

Thank god the calories at Christmas don't count, right?

The festive menu replaces the Crunchie McFlurry, the Mozarella dippers and the Double Big Mac for a limited time.

While we might be getting treated to all this, it's nothing in comparison to what they're getting over in the USA as Maccas announced it's first ever Mariah Menu - giving diners a free Christmas item every day in the twelve days before Christmas with every $1 order on the McDonald's app.

"Some of my favorite memories with my kids are our family trips to McDonald’s, and of course, each of us has our go-to order. Mine is the Cheeseburger, and I get it with extra pickles,” said Mariah Carey. “Bringing together some of our favorite food from McDonald’s with my all-time favorite season is a holiday wish come true.”

“Mariah goes with the holidays like ketchup and fries, so we couldn’t think of a better partner to help us celebrate the upcoming season,” said Jennifer Healan, Vice President, U.S. Marketing, Brand Content and Engagement of McDonald’s USA. “Just like McDonald’s brings people around the table with their favorite orders, Mariah’s music connects us all during this time of the year. We’re so excited to team up to bring even more holiday cheer to our fans.”
