Turn on the TV at the moment and you're likely to see Alison Hammond. The star is currently hosting three prime-time shows, including This Morning, The Great British Bake Off and For The Love Of Dogs, plus, she’s just signed up for another BBC series – leaving pals worried she’s taking on too much.

The much-loved star, 49, is to front Alison Hammond’s Big Weekend, which will air on BBC One in 2025. The six-part series will see her spending two days with a celebrity and sharing insights into their homes and lives.

“I’m so excited to serve up some big lols and tons of OMG revelations as I spend some quality time with some of the UK’s favourite celebrities,” she said.

"When I'm on a mission, no secret is safe and trust me – no stone or cupboard will go unturned!"

And while we can't get enough of the star, an insider tells us Alison can feel overwhelmed by her success – and that, at times, she fears she can’t do this any more.

“Alison has never been busier in her career than she is right now. But while it’s exciting, it’s also exhausting, and she hasn’t really found a moment to let her feet hit the ground,” our source says. “Her family and friends have been begging her to take a break, but there’s been no time, as she’s involved in all these major shows that require so much of her attention and energy."

Alison currently presents This Morning on Fridays and during the holidays with Dermot O'Leary, in addition to Bake Off and For The Love Of Dogs, which she took over from the late Paul O’Grady. Now, her friends are urging her to take a well-deserved break with her 19-year-old son Aidan to avoid burning out.

“Her pals have said that she deserves to take some time off. They’re all hoping that, this summer, Alison might be able to get away for at least three weeks to be with her son over the holidays and treat them
both to something wonderful. But she’s already getting work commitments pop up in her diary and Alison still isn’t saying no to anything,” we’re told.

“She’s grafted and grafted over the years, and now that she is in demand, she feels like she’s been forever wired to keep moving forward, saying yes to everything and never turning an opportunity down.

“Her pals have said they might have to stage an intervention soon if she doesn’t stand up for herself and block time off in her diary to do her own thing with her family and friends.”
